It seems like a long time now since KTM was in the wilderness without an owner, and bankruptcy loomed largely. As hard as the 90s were for the company, it was a lesson that helped them become the force they are today.

In any category, discipline, or motorcycling preference there is a KTM made bike there that could easily fit your needs. Easily their most refined machines are their single-cylinder dirt bikes, the machines that have given them their bread and butter for decades now. It comes as no surprise then that the SX125 has become a force to be reckoned with, and the 2021 version is no exception.

Some Key Updates Makes The Best Better

When you look at pricing, KTM are not shy. Direct competition comes in significantly cheaper, but as in life, you get what you pay for.

With the other bikes you just don’t get the same level of quality, it gets top level equipment from top to bottom. For starters the updated WP XACT forks deliver sublime feedback and unlike the competition will not need to get swapped out for something else if you plan to go racing, which in all honesty is what most people will do with a 125 class MX bike. Also updated for 2021 is a hardened piston, which will keep the performance high and reduce maintenance a little. Other more minor tweaks include a new low-friction bearing for the swingarm linkage and MX33 Dunlop tires, we will let you be the judge of those incremental changes. Other than that you will still get the same ultra-capable SX 125 dressed in a new 2021 sticker kit.

Ready To Race

It is their famous tag-line, but we have to give them credit where it is due, it really is ready to race straight from the factory.

As mentioned above it only gets a few tweaks here and there, all of which just make what is already the best machine in its class that much better. It already has some of the best hardware any young rider could ever wish for, the Galfer rotors are top of the line and would usually be added to the list of upgrades one would need to get to stay competitive. A Brembo hydraulic clutch would have been unheard of even for pro riders a few years ago but it is standard equipment on this supposedly entry level machine.

Summary

It is just astonishing how much you get on this bike, sure, the initial outlay is pretty steep but if you're going to hit the motocross track, you really shouldn’t look much further.

If you will be racing this machine all the more it makes sense, all the upgrades you would normally consider doing before you even enter a race have already been included in the package. It is truly a great option if you are serious about motocross.
