You gotta hand it to Manny Khoshbin. The L.A.-based high-rolling real estate mogul has got an exquisite taste in supercars, even though he may have had to flip a few palatial digs here and there to get up close and personal with those glitzy four-wheelers. Khoshbin has already exited many a showroom with the likes of a Hermes Pagani Huayra valued at $7 million and had his hand in the redesign of a Bugatti Chiron. But his latest infatuation has been with an ultra-special McLaren Speedtail delivered at the beginning of March. On Monday, he shared with his fans what it's like to drive the thing.

Speedtail Hybrid Packs A Combined 1,035 Horsepower

Recently hyped to take flagship status away from the F1 model, the McLaren Speedtail hybrid has "adrenaline rush" written all over its carbon-fiber exterior. Speaking of which, the body's finish is an ultra-glossy deep purple shade, almost the same color of the stratosphere if this thing were designed to operate at such an altitude.

As far as the performance of Khoshbin's acquisition, you're not going to get a second-rate product if McLaren's behind it. This Speedtail boasts a combined 1,035 horsepower with 750 of it coming from a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with the rest courtesy of the supercar's electric motor.

It's somewhat fitting that Khoshbin's attire isn't unlike what NASA techs wear while assembling all that spacecraft. He's dressed to thrill and is stoked over what awaits him. But it turns out the dealer is treating the car like it's about to launch from Cape Canaveral.

"We're gonna go pick it up, but not before I put my spacesuit on, because hey, it's a spaceship," he chortles. "Uh, no joke. This car you're gonna have to go in with a full-on suit and booties and gloves."

Driver's Seat Is Right In The Middle

Even getting into the car is a unique experience in that there's no driver's side. Nope, the steering wheel is right in the middle of the dash, so he has the front seat all to himself. "This will definitely take some time to get used to," he notes while taking the car down an L.A. street.

He also marvels at how the Speedtail is so sensitive to touch, especially when Khoshbin starts to speed up. "It's crazy, the car is so delicate, I'm scared to go fast," he says. "I'm telling you the acceleration is so crazy, it literally feels like you're flying."

The sad part is that Khoshbin doesn't have a space station to park his new Speedtail. For now, his massive garage will have to do.
