To mark the 50th anniversary of two Lamborghini models, the marquee automaker will take the two recently restored vehicles on a tour of Italy starting in September.

According to Auto Classics, Lamborghini will march the Espada and Isleros across 400 miles of road to celebrate a monumental milestone between Sept. 7, 2018, through Sept. 10, 2018.

Obviously, these cars carry a lot of weight for enthusiasts. The Isleros was a very limited production car with two variations — the Isleros and Isleros S. The S version was introduced in 1969, and this model, over both versions, totaled 215 cars. An interesting thing to note is that the Espada was the first Lamborghini to feature four seats and it also sold exceptionally well with 1226 models moved over the 10 year period it was manufactured.

Both cars were speed demons, even by today's standards. The Espada could go 245 km per hour, while the non-S version of the Isleros could hit 250 km/h and the S version clocking in at 260 km/h for their respective top speeds. Pretty nice for some old V12 engines.

This tour could be a beneficial one for the folks at Lamborghini as it will allow them to showcase some classic cars that have been hanging out in their museum, thus introducing the general public to some rare cars they may never have seen in their lives, and letting newer generations fantasize about the cars. This fantasizing could even lead to these particular models being brought back as a new generation of vehicle. The tour will be in Italy's Umbria region and will be made up of a convoy of car collectors showing off their prized vehicles. So it won't just be these two cars that will get some love through the coastal part of Italy.

Classic cars never really go out of style, and when they carry a badge like Lamborghini, any reason to trot them out to the public should be taken advantage of. Hopefully, the tour swings by a location near you.
