Mat Watson and CarWowMat Watson and CarWow are well known for their drag races of high performance machines on YouTube. Their latest episode is set to be quite the spectacle. Watson has been able to bring in a Lamborghini Huracán Performante that then goes up against both a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, and a 700 HP Nissan GT-R. This is set to be a very high horsepower drag race.

The Porsche Cayenne But Reworked

As the name might suggest, the Cayenne Turbo GT has had a bit of a rework by the Porsche GT division. The suspension for example has been re-tuned, but what really matters in a drag race is the car's power. The car's 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine puts out a highly impressive 640 HP, exactly the same as the wild Lamborghini Huracán Performante. The weight though might be quite a setback for the Porsche, as it is a much bigger and heavier car than the Lamborghini. The Lamborghini has a 5.2-litre V10 engine, and produces the same amount of power as the Cayenne Turbo GT.

Finally, the two cars head out for the drag race, and the Porsche does get a better launch than the Lamborghini. But soon, that V10 engine really kicks in, and the Lamborghini just rockets away to an easy win despite bogging down on the line. The second race sees the Lamborghini get a much better launch, and run away with an even easier victory than the first time around. But the Porsche does do very well, given how much heavier it is than the Lamborghini. Next up though, a JM Imports 700 HP Nissan GT-R comes in and joins the race which Watson promptly jumps in.

Despite having 60 more horsepower, the Lamborghini does win the first race between the two cars, thanks partly to a better launch. The second race though is much more even and despite not beating the Lamborghini, the GT-R runs it very, very close. The next race is a rolling run from 50 mph, but again, the Lamborghini takes the victory and eases away from the GT-R. The next race is another rolling affair but in manual mode for the gearboxes, and finally the GT-R takes a slender win over the Lamborghini. Finally, the carwow brake test and the Lamborghini trounced it with its ABS, as Watson wiggled around in the GT-R after locking up. That’s thanks to the aftermarket suspension, paired with comfort mode, meaning the suspension was loose and the car went sideways. Certainly dramatic!
