It's said that red cars get pulled over by cops the most. The truth is, however, that white cars take the number one place when it comes to getting pulled over with red coming in second. What happens though if you drive multi-colored Lamborghinis?
This indeed would grab the attention of any cop as DailyDrivenExotics YouTube Channel is all too familiar. Their latest video shows the Lambo-Trio in their latest targeting mishap which turns into a heated argument with an officer of the law.
The Cop With A Vengeance
The video begins with the Dodge Charger Police car pulling next to the driver of the first car and signaling for the other two to pull over. The policeman emerges from the car and tells the drivers to remain in the vehicle.
The first driver asks if he can take a photo but the cop. Asserting dominance, the officer reiterates the importance of staying in the vehicle. The cop identifies himself as Officer Matt Jenkins and tells the driver, Damon, that they're stopped for speeding. The claimed speed is 98 MPH in a 45 MPH zone.
How Is This Possible?
Damon begins to argue that there is no way possible that they were going 98 in a 45 since there were big rigs in both lanes and the cars were merely following these rigs. He continues that there is no way that the larger trucks were doing double the speed limit since there are many twists and turns in the gorge.
The officer tells him that he's been pacing and using radar on the three Lambos since mile marker 15. Damon tells the officer that he has a radar detector in the vehicle to which the officer replies "I switched it on and off really fast'' and refuses to let Damon see the radar since "it's inside the police car" and for everyone's safety, he will not let them near the police car.
Agree To Disagree
The story doesn't seem to add up for the three drivers but they all get served with tickets regardless. The officer tells them that in Arizona State, going double the speed limit is a criminal offense. He continues saying that since he did not see any other "reckless behavior with criminal intent" he will only be writing them up "civilly".
The three Lamborghini drivers later meet up at a local gas station to discuss the facts and agree that they were not speeding and that most of what the cop was saying is false. Is this just targeting based on the cars? We may just never know for sure.
