Lamborghini Urus became the manufacturer's production SUV to come out after a long gap of 25 years since they tried to woo people over with the muscular LM002. It quite didn't take off well, but the Urus was a completely different story. The 2021 Lamborghini Urus doesn't change much on the mechanical front and continues to be the off-beat vehicle that was mad enough to be classified as an SSUV( Super Sports Utility Vehicle)! Lamborghini has, however, bumped on its safety front with more active features and also a cooler new key design that takes inspiration from its twin - the Audi RSQ8.

But the most notable addition is the duo of candy packages on offer - Pearl Capsule and Graphite Capsule which adds a lot of pop to the not-so-subtle looking SUV. It still packs an Audi-sourced V8 that can do wonders of which 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds for an SUV is just the tip! Pricing And The New Color-Pops In Town

As Lamborghini has not pitched in any new major updates for the 2021 Urus, the pricing also remains unchanged, with a starting MSRP of $218,000. It comes in one well-stacked trim as is the case with all ambitious Lamborghinis. But it adds a lot of fun and "color" with the already available performance, comfort, and aesthetic packages.

The newly added ones are in the form of two very eye-catchy packages. Lamborghini introduced a Pearl Capsule first and was recently followed by a sinister-looking Graphite Capsule Package. While the Pearl ones are loud and go quite well with the over-the-top characteristics of this Lambo, the Graphite ones are the exact opposite that takes the dark route. Apart from these, Lamborghini has also added new standard safety features to give you all the backing needed to hoon this SUV around, even on loose soil.

Beefy Performance From An Audi-sourced 4.0L V8 Engine

The 2021 Lamborghini Urus continues to be powered by a 4.0L Twin-Turbocharged V8 that has the German's backing. Yes, this is the same engine that is used in the Audi RSQ8, which also packs a punch, but clearly not as much as this mad-Italian here. It is also an unorthodox route to take by Lamborghini who has almost always relied on V10s and V12s for all their offerings.

But this V8 is no slouch either as it packs a gripping 641 hp and 627 lb-ft in the standard form. It is coupled to a slick 8-Speed Automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels which also gets a smart 4WD system that includes a Torsen central self-locking differential for optimized control at all times. The torque is distributed at a ratio of 40/60 between the front and rear axles.

Lamborghini has built a mad-machine out of the 2021 Urus. Despite weighing in at 4,850 lbs. ( 2.2 tonnes!), this SUV does 0-60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and has an electronically-limited top speed of 190 mph. These figures make the Urus worthy of the "Raging Bull" logo. The quarter-mile run is also quite appealing with 11.3 seconds, and this SUV can put quite a lot of drag-spec cars to shame.

Its clever AWD system helps this missile to shot with conviction despite its bulky form factor. On the flip side, Lamborghini has also packed the urus with standard carbon-ceramic brakes to give you all the might required to keep things under control. The latest rumor mill is the imminent launch of a track-focused Urus and also an EVO model with even more hardcore performance figures.

This also happens to be the only Lamborghini currently with comfortable and lavish second-row seating. The rear seats can also be had as bucket seats for that "sporty" passenger experience. On the infotainment side, it again shares and used a themed version of Audi's famed MMI system called the Lamborghini Infotainment system 3. It packs 3D visualizations and 2 split-screens for a more intuitive user-interface. It packs Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and also gets a sweet 1,700W 21-Speaker B&O Audio system.

SUVs have been around for quite some time, but not a Lamborghini-badged SUV. And so, the Urus has managed to make a distinctive mark among the sea of SUVs, with its sharp design cues that clearly takes inspiration from the Aventador. Vents and sick-looking splitters look quite good on this bulky fellow and you will clearly know of its "Lamb0" backing by the sheer drama it packs. There are no changes in dimensions and the only additions are confined to new colors that come with the Capsule packages.
