Kyle Larson won the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway this afternoon after a hectic battle, for his third-consecutive race win. Teammate Chase Elliott took P2, with Kevin Harvick taking the final podium step.

Larson led the race start following his eighth win last Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway, from Ryan Blaney in P2. Quin Houff and Ryan Newman started at the back for inspection failures, as did Chase Brisco for unapproved adjustments. The race was red-flagged on Lap 11 for rain hitting the track. Brad Keselowski took the lead from Larson on the restart but lost it again to Larson on lap 17.

Kyle Busch lost his right front tire and hit the outside wall on Lap 23, bringing out an early competition caution. Blaney led on the restart after pit stops but lost it to Larson who shot up from P4. Matt DiBenedetto and Larson traded the lead until Larson took it back on Lap 30 as DiBenedetto fell back to P3 behind Chase Elliott, who took the lead on Lap 33. Larson took back the lead on Lap 37 and held it until Lap 80 to win Stage 1.

Byron Wins Stage 2

Larson kept the lead after pit stops into Stage 2, but lost it to Chase Elliott on Lap 88. Pit stops put Joey Logano in the lead for 62 laps. Logano pitted on Lap 145, and William Byron takes the lead to win Stage 2.

Larson led at the start of Stage 3 from Byron, who took the lead on Lap 168. Tyler Reddick ran three-wide with Larson and Byron for the lead, but lost out to Larson and falls back to P3. Anthony Alfredo hit the wall with a flat tire on Lap 173, yellow-flagging the race. Reddick led on the restart, but not for long as Larson took back the lead on Lap 179. Reddick then dropped to P8. Byron took back the lead on Lap 186, as Larson fell back to P5.

Larson hit the wall on Lap 207 while running P5. Ryan Newman spun from a flat tire on Lap 218, bringing out a yellow flag. The restart saw Kurt Busch leading from Kevin Harvick. Elliott took the lead, as Austin Dillon sent Blaney into the wall while running P9. Blaney duly retired after the contact with Dillon. He hasn't won a race since Daytona in late August.

Elliott lead on the restart from Larson, as Harvick challenged the front runners. Larson took the lead again as Elliott fell to P7. Elliott hit the wall several times with only a few laps to go, allowing Larson a bigger gap. Larson held the lead and took the win this afternoon, for the second time he's won three races in a row.
