Drifting and trucks rarely mix, but the winner of this charity giveaway will drive away in World Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr’s “Ultimate Fun-Haver” Ford F-150. The 2015 pickup incorporates numerous drifting-oriented modifications and is “…one of my favorite vehicles I have ever owned,” remarks Gittin Jr. in a recent tweet. The contest, held with RYNO Classifieds, will benefit several non-profit organizations including children’s and veterans’ groups. The winner will also receive $8,500 for taxes.

This F-150 Is Made For The Track And Drifts

This giveaway truck goes beyond the ordinary. Built by Gittin Jr.’s RTR and Kibbetech Offroad Fabrication, the mods begin with a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 enhanced for a 400 hp output. A K&N intake, Full Race intercooler, and a custom Magnaflow exhaust round out the power plant changes.

Thanks to a very low ground stance, the pickup is well-suited to track excursions. Yet the custom AirLift airbag suspension—along with 35-inch Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires on 18-inch wheels—makes the Ultimate Fun-Haver ready for dirt adventures at a moment’s notice. One highlight from the giveaway tells us that the truck is very “tossable” because engaging the ASD hand brake makes for on-demand rear-end flinging. Upgraded shocks, front long-travel control arms, a Ford Raptor rear axle, and custom rear suspension round out the mechanical conversions.

The exterior stands out due to custom fender flares from Auto Explosion, Raptor Retrofit custom lighting, and LED light conversion by V-Leds. On the inside, the driver and passengers will be comfortable in the Recaro seats and secure in the Takata harnesses.

With his aggressive, no-holds-barred driving style, Gittin Jr. burst onto the drifting scene when he became the first American to win a D1 Grand Prix event in the 2005 USA vs. Japan competition. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, his self-taught driving skills propelled Gittin Jr. to victory in the 2007 World Championship. Top honors continued when he won the World Drift Series championships from 2011-2013.  In 2013, he was named Ace Driver of the Decade for more tandem battle wins than any other competitor in ten years of Formula Drift history.
