LeBron James’ 10 Favorite Cars (and 9 He Bought And Totally Forgot About)

LeBron James has always been known for being the best at what he does, and demanding the best of those around him. And it's no different with his cars. LeBron owns some of the best cars in the world and the cars he buys that don’t perform well go into the “bought and forgot” list.

The King made his riches as the star of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat. With 3 NBA championships under his belt, he has accumulated over $400 million. In return, the greatest rides in the world sit in his garage. Some of those rides, however, are just about average. LeBron owns a Bentley and a Rolls Royce but he also owns cars like a Jeep Wrangler and a Kia K900.

LeBron has been the face of being the best for many years, and his car collection breeds the same results. LeBron’s favorite cars in his garage are some of our favorite cars. The cars that LeBron “bought and forgot” are often cars that have high price value, but fail to contribute as a daily driver—forcing him to drive the other supercars in his garage. For example, the Bentley Continental GT and the Dodge Challenger both get about 14-15 miles per gallon. Which one would you rather drive? It’s not hard to believe that LeBron forgets about some of these cars when you consider the supercars that are in his impeccable garage.

19 Favorite: Ferrari F430 Spyder

via cleveland.com

LeBron shows us his humble side by picking up this lowly Ferrari. The power rating may not impress many, as the car packs a V8 engine (not the usual V12 for Ferrari). However, the car is so finely tuned that it can handle the best road courses. LeBron flaunts this car greatly as he has taken many pictures with it. It is no doubt one of LeBron’s favorite cars. Why shouldn’t it be? Yahoo reports that the Ferrari 430 turns heads with a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds. That is impressive considering it pushes just over 480 horsepower. This is Ferrari at it’s best.

18 Favorite: Porsche 911 Turbo S

via Reddit

The Porsche 911 Turbo S is the best the Porsche brand has to offer. There are many pictures of LeBron driving this car, so we know it’s one of his favorites. The 911 Turbo S costs a whopping $161,800 whereas other Porsches average around $60-80k. It completes the 0-60 in a head-spinning 2.9 seconds. Simply put, this isn’t an average Porsche; it's the top-of-the-line Porsche. According to Complex, LeBron loves Porsche's cars so much that he bought a Porsche Panamera for his mother, which isn't a bad choice considering the super sedan is a fan favorite.

17 Favorite: Lamborghini Aventador

via solecollector.com

We know why the Lamborghini Aventador is one of LeBron’s favorite cars. First of all, it’s a Lamborghini. However, besides that, Autoblog reports that LeBron even created a sneaker to match the colors of his Lambo. The Aventador is quite possibly the fastest Lamborghini ever made, as in SVJ trim, it’s the quickest version of the supercar to ever tour the Nurburgring track. With over 720 horsepower, this bad boy has no problem keeping up with the best supercars on the market. LeBron wrapped this Lambo with the same color as his shoes in honor of Nike’s release of his new kicks.

16 Favorite: Maybach 57 S

via topspeed.com

The Maybach 57 S is a super Benz that costs over $370,000. LeBron loves this car and even put on a KING OF OH license plate on this magnificent piece of machinery. It’s not an average luxury vehicle. According to Google, it puts out over 600 horsepower and gets just 10 miles to the gallon. Anyone driving this Maybach must be doing it for the looks, or else they just plain love Mercedes. Early criticism of the car did not stop high purchasing rates of the Maybach 57S. In the end, we can see why LeBron purchased this. It is a car fit for the best—or should we say, a king.

15 Favorite: Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG

via drivingdc.com

LeBron has the money t0 buy the best Mercedes-Benz in the world. Forget his two Maybachs for a second, and focus on this original Benz. The S 63 AMG is the absolute best that Mercedes has to offer, besides the Maybachs. What makes this car special is the original Benz feel that the Maybach cannot offer, and LeBron had to have one in his garage. According to Mercedes-Benz USA, this Benz has a bi-turbo engine that pushes over 600 horsepower. It completes the 0-60 in 3.4 seconds. That is incredible for a large-sized luxury vehicle.

14 Favorite: Rolls-Royce Phantom

via autotrader.ca

The Rolls-Royce Phantom is quite possibly the greatest car in the world next to the Bugatti Veyron, so it’s only right that LeBron James owns one. Huffington Post reports that the Phantom was a gift to LeBron from Shaq. It makes a great gift as the Phantom has everything a car can offer. Not only is it the most luxurious of all cars, but it is also a speed demon. This supercar boosts 563 horsepower and has an incredible V12 engine. It is a top-of-the-line vehicle, and its reputation is known all through the car world.

13 Favorite: Ferrari 599

via motor1.com

This is another LeBron James Ferrari. According to Complex, LeBron bought the Ferrari 599 from his favorite auto dealer, which is Unique Autoshops. LeBron shows us his love for Ferraris as he has owned three from the supercar distributor. This Ferrari is one for the books, however. It costs over $300,000 and delivers the best that Ferrari has to offer. With over 600 horsepower, the 6.0-liter V12 Ferrari 599 completes the 0-60 in an incredible 3.2 seconds—leaving all luxurious cars of the similar price range in the dust. Simply put, it’s a stock 11-second car.

12 Favorite: Mercedes-Maybach S600

via caranddriver.com

The Maybach S600 is the ultimate Mercedes-Benz. It is one of the greatest Mercedes-Benz cars ever made. Forget LeBron for a second; this is the favorite car of many, many people. All over the internet, you will find quotes such as “insanely luxurious” or “the ultimate-luxury car” and there is a very good reason for it. This $200,000 super-Benz is among the greatest luxury cars in the world and reviews back it up. The car handles well, also. According to Car and Driver, the Maybach S600 is shorter than the Maybach 57S for just one reason: better maneuvering. Either way, LeBron owns both of them.

11 Favorite: Bentley Continental GT

via rssportscars.com

The Bentley Continental GT, much like the Rolls-Royce Phantom, is one of the greatest cars in the world and fits perfectly into the King’s garage. The Continental GT is the epitome of luxury supercars and has a starting price tag of over $218,000, according to Car and Driver. Not only does it provide every possible luxury need a vehicle can offer, but it also boasts up to 500 horsepower. The most impressive part about this car is the gas mileage. While most luxury supercars provide a mere 10-12 miles per gallon, we know that LeBron enjoys the 24 highway miles per gallon that the Continental GT offers.

10 Favorite: Ferrari 458

via drivingemotions.com

We know that LeBron loves his Ferraris, but what makes this one different than his other two supercars? According to Super Cars Corner, the Ferrari 458 is LeBron’s daily driver. This color of this Ferrari is rare, as well, and is a little darker than the usual Ferrari red. This supercar from Italy comes equipped with a 597-horsepower, 4.5-liter V8 engine. The smaller engine makes it a little better on gas mileage, which in return makes it a possible choice for a daily driver. The mid-mounted engine also provides more storage space for daily errands that the King has to run.

9 Forgot: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

via caranddriver.com

A Jeep is not an ideal car for a star, let alone the king of basketball. Even though the Wrangler Rubicon is one of the best that Jeep has to offer, it’s still not enough to make the top line-up for LeBron’s daily drivers. According to RepairPal, Wranglers are known for having exhaust and emissions problems. Such problems lead to loud ticking noises and driveability issues. For someone who drives two Maybachs and three Ferraris, LeBron has way better options than this rare Jeep product. To be fair, the Rubicon is the highest-end Jeep Wrangler, though, which is probably why LeBron bought it.

8 Forgot: 1975 Chevy Impala

via carswithmuscles.com

The 1969 Impala was a legend, but the 1975 Impala was not so memorable. Unlike its older counterpart, the 1975 Impala does not pack the same unique looks. It looks just the same as any other car from the mid-1970s. The 1975 Impala is just as open to modifications as the 1969 Impala but just doesn’t provide the same feel as the 1969 urban legend. Car Gurus tells us that the 1975 Chevy Impala handles poorly, especially on wet terrain, making this old classic an unlikely choice for a daily driver during the King’s errand runs.

7 Forgot: Dodge Challenger SRT

via guideautoweb.com

When the Dodge Challenger was brought back, many fans were excited. However, it was clear that the new version would not live up to the old version. Almost comically so, in fact, because the new version has a retro-styled body. To put things into perspective, the $50,000 Dodge product gets the same miles per gallon as some of LeBron’s $300,000 cars. In accordance with gas mileage, it would make less sense to drive this car more often. According to Repair Pal, the Challenger SRT makes a hissing sound when steering at low speeds, which may annoy any possible drivers.

6 Forgot: Range Rover HSE

via nytimes.com

The Range Rover HSE looks good on paper, but the 3.0-liter, turbocharged V6 engine only distributes about 254 horsepower. This horsepower is not only low for a turbocharged V6, but it’s also too low for a $95,000 mid-sized SUV. Don’t be fooled by the price or brand name, as other Range Rover models prove to be greater than the HSE. However, according to Jalopnik, Range Rovers generally have a horrible reputation for reliability and mechanical stability. Therefore, the Range Rover requires mechanical work pretty often, which makes it a forgettable car in an otherwise unforgettable garage.

5 Forgot: Hummer H2

via conceptcarz.com

The Hummer H2 was LeBron’s first car. The car raised speculation that LeBron received the car as a gift from college or NBA prospects, which would have been against the rules. It is not lawful for a basketball prospect to receive gifts from future employers or institutions. However, LeBron stated that the car was a gift from his mother for his 18th birthday. The Hummer H2 is not exactly the greatest car in the world, either. As Repair Pal reports, the H2 has a fuel pump that may fail. In return, this causes the engine to stall or not start. LeBron’s H2 was put up for auction in 2018.

4 Forgot: Kia K900

via caranddriver.com

A Kia is not exactly a perfect fit for a king. However, an endorsement with Kia has LeBron driving a Kia K900—well, at least, owning one. Since 2014, Twitter reported about 30,000 tweets doubting that LeBron James actually drives the K900. USA Today reports that Richard Jefferson, a former teammate, apparently caught footage of LeBron driving the Kia K900 on his Snapchat, thus putting away the speculation that the car is locked up in his garage collecting dust. The K900 is not a bad car; it has an MSRP value of over $49,000, and is one of the best cars that Kia has to offer.

3 Forgot: BMW 760 Li

via motor1.com

The BMW 760 Li is an overpriced luxury sedan with an oversized engine. It might just be BMW’s attempt to match the Bentley Continental GT or the Rolls-Royce Phantom with a similar, large-engined, super luxury car. The car flopped, as Repair Pal reports that it received a 2.8 out of 5 rating from consumers. First of all, the car requires about $3-4 thousand a year for maintenance. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that LeBron put the car up for sale in 2014. Especially considering the fact that LeBron already has the more superior Rolls-Royce Phantom in his garage.

2 Forgot: Hummer H1

via 3dtuning.com

The Hummer H1 is almost a military vehicle. The only use of military force that LeBron needed was his fracas with Draymond Green in Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals. This car is definitely not ideal for a daily driver, though, as the H1 gets a dismal 9 miles per gallon. The only thing this car offers is extra cargo and passenger space. The Hummer H1 comes with GM’s infamous 6.5-liter V8 turbodiesel engine. Why was this engine infamous? According to Jalopnik, this engine is notorious for having the 8th cylinder cracked. The only fix for this is a replaced engine.

1 Forgot: Chevrolet Camaro SS

via motorauthority.com

The Camaro SS has an impeccable and legendary reputation that attracted even the attention of LeBron James. The new-generation Camaro is not a bad car, but it has to compete with the Mustang and Challenger, which is why LeBron has the Challenger SRT. Torque News reports that this ride constantly fogs up while driving. The Camaro has always been known for competing with the Mustang over the years, however, it is clear that the Camaro was no match for the Mustang this time around. The new-generation Mustang has been taken to the next level with its Shelby, SVT, and Saleen versions.
