The planners of the Leesburg Bikefest got it right. With a big rig convoy, bike shows, live performers, car shows and hot body contests, it is a winning combination that is hard to beat.

Any biking event that can last for more than 20 years happens not by chance, but by great planning, great events and overall, by providing folks a great experience that they will want to see and hear year after year. Having the local area buy in to the process is critical, and with the town of Leesburg profiting by hosting Bikefest, everyone walks away a winner. It is possible some of the bikini contestants might not feel like winners, but you cannot please everyone!

Initially the 2020 Leesburg Bikefest was cancelled, but as of May 6th, it was announced that the festival will take place in November, the 13th though the 15th. This proves that even a pandemic cannot stop something as wildly popular as this event. It helps that one of the sponsors is Gator Harley. Regardless of sponsorship, the 3-day festival brings like-minded people together to celebrate motorcycles and the overall biker culture. Throw in a trucker convoy and the potential increase in crowd size is substantial.

Bike Shows Galore

It was attendance by bikers that initially kicked off the early on success of Leesburg Bikefest. In the first year, approximately 5000 people were in attendance for a one-day event. In recent years, those numbers have jumped to 300,000 during the course of three days. The Bikefest planners got it right by expanding on the bike shows and by adding bike demonstrations as well as stunt shows. If you want to see some of the coolest bikes on the planet, this is the place to cast your eyes upon unbelievable 2-wheeled pieces of chrome artwork.

Hot Body Contests

Who does not like to watch a hot body contest? As Leesburg Bikefest as grown, so has the number of bikini contests. In 2019 there was Ms Budweiser, Ms Ratmate, Ms Pin-Up, Ms Bikefest and Ms Gator Harley. Chances are, they are not asking the contestants too many questions. Big picture - we are talking about motorcycles, cars, trucks, beer, leather, and bikinis. Does it really get any better? These events are not for the weak of heart and you probably should leave the kids at home. Who knows, perhaps in 2020 there will be even more bikini events to attend. Regardless, it is a great combination for a great time.

Trucker Convoy

What do you do if you are not too into motorcycles but are more into the convoy scene? No problem, as the Leesburg Bikefest recently added a trucker convoy to the entertainment, free of charge. These rigs are totally tricked out and a sight to behold. People line the streets to catch a glimpse of these behemoth trucks that are truly kings of the road. At this event you will see more chrome in one day than you will potentially see in a lifetime.

Big League Performers

Just about everyone is familiar with the tune 'Ice Ice Baby' by Vanilla Ice -  aka Robert Van Winkle. Apparently, the biker crowd cannot get enough of him and his music. After appearing at the Leesburg Bikefest in 2014, he came back in 2019 for an encore. The lineup for 2020 sounds particularly rowdy, with the likes of Saliva, Lit, Eddie Montgomery and others hitting the stage. This is somewhat of a diverse lineup. Odds are the band Lit will perform 'My Own Worst Enemy' at least once.

The combination of all these awesome attractions results in a spectacularly good time. Do not be surprised to see this 3-day festival keep on trucking for another 20 years or longer.
