The Lexus ES has been an integral part of the Lexus lineup since the brand's inception in 1989, alongside the launch of the LS flagship sedan. Well received by many around the world, the brand has launched the latest evolution of the ES with an evolution of the car's elegant design, as well as an enhancement of the qualities that have made the car so popular with so many road users. One thing that has made the ES so popular is how quiet and comfortable it is, and that’s one thing that Lexus hope to continue with this latest iteration.
Superior Quietness And Comfort
Lexus says that the new ES features enhancements to its superior quietness and ride comfort. The ES uses a new actuator that is also featured in the F Sport, and a switch from single sheet to dual sheet structure to increase the rigidity of the rear suspension braces. This, coupled with the torsional and lateral rigidity being heightened sees improved comfort for the new model. Lexus has also aimed to improve brake controllability, thanks to changes to the idle stroke of the brake pedal in the gasoline-powered version of the car and improved controllability on hybrid versions.
The New ES Has Some Major External Changes
There are quite a few enhancements to the overall design of the car as well. A newly designed front grille features on the new ES, with a mesh pattern with L-shaped components. Newly designed headlamps also feature. There are compact lamp units on monocular lamp models, and on triple-beam lamps, there is the BladeScan AHS feature for improved functionality. On top of those changes, there are new exterior colors available for the first time, which are Sonic Iridium and Sonic Chrome. To cap off the new exterior features, the ES features newly designed thicker spokes on 17-inch wheels, and exclusive 19-inch wheels in gloss black for F-Sport models.
Interior Features And New Colors
When it comes to the interior of the ES there are plenty of things to be excited about. The multimedia system in the car now features a touch display and the driver's screen uses glass for improved visibility and operability. New interior color features, including Hazel and Mauve. Plus, the F Sport now has a White interior with seat cushions in a fetching White-and-Flare Red color scheme with Black seatbacks.
