Here’s a recipe for social media success: take one Lamborghini, preferably a roadster, add a carbon fiber liberty walk widebody kit, apply army-green satin vehicle wrap, toss in four deep-dish aluminum wheels, and slam it to the ground. Next, upload photos and wait fifteen minutes. Voila! Instant likes. This Los Angeles-based tuning shop has done just that. RDB stands for Repair, Design, Build, and the guys have clearly been working overtime on this latest build, transforming a 2014 Lamborghini Aventador LP-700-4 Roadster into a mean, green, head-turning machine.

RDB / Liberty Walk Aventador: Test Drive

Even in stock trim, the first generation Aventador is no slouch. When it debuted in 2011, this was a “clean sheet of paper” design for the marque. Sporting a 6.5-liter V12 engine that develops 690 horsepower at 8,250 rpm, the Lambo routes power to all four wheels via an automated single-clutch manual 7-speed gearbox. The car’s chassis consists of a one-piece carbon fiber passenger cell mated to front and rear aluminum structural subframes.

Aventador Boasts Plenty Of Aggressive Style

Starting from this solid platform, RDB then proceeded to take it to the next level. The carbon fiber widebody kit used on this build comes from Liberty Walk, a Japan-based supplier of high quality kits for a wide variety of makes and models. In addition, signature forged alloy wheels complete the stance.

“It’s got so much carbon fiber, it's ridiculous. Inside and outside,” says Vik Tchalikian of RDB. “All the vents, the wings, all the canards, the front lips … rear spoiler … side skirts … really, really aggressive style.”

Style and Performance Upgrades

This build would not have been complete without performance enhancement as well. “This car has a full exhaust system so it's really loud,” said Tchalikian.

According to the builder, there’s been some Lambo trash-talking lately on social media. “You guys know us, we don’t like to get involved in drama too much, but recently we’ve been seeing some Aventadors that are literally getting wraps and wheels, and pretty much talking big on Instagram … Claiming all kinds of crap really,” he said. “They don’t have widebody, they don’t have stances like this, they don’t have all this stuff going on…”

“We’re doing this so often that we’re used to it now. We don’t need to showboat …You guys see it. You know what we’re all about,” he said.
