The fourth generation Chevrolet Corvette was a very important vehicle for the Corvette line-up. It showed what a Corvette could be, rather than what a Corvette was. The outdated C3 model was showing its age while the C4 offered potential buyers the latest technological advances like an LCD gauge cluster and completely new and extremely modern body styling.

Of course, Corvette as a brand has grown since the C4, finessing the line between a heritage brand and a technological powerhouse. It is now in the same category as much more expensive brands such as Ferrari and Lamborghini.

With that in mind, the Street Speed 717 YouTube channel brings us one of the most extreme vehicles ever to come to his channel. As our host explains in the intro, he's found a way to improve on perfection. A lifted Chevy Corvette C4.

Extreme And Weird But It Works

Mike tells us he has about $4000 of his own money into the Nassau Blue Monster-Vette. The car now sits on a Chevy Blazer chassis. Mike explains that the car is still 50% Corvette as he opens the door to show us the interior. It's still a full Corvette interior with the exception of the transmission shifter and an ignition switch connected to the Blazer instrument cluster which hangs off of the passenger side dash.

At the 5:35 mark, we get a driver's point of view. Although the interior is painfully rough, we have to admit that the view out of the windshield is hilarious. The insane ride height with the large Corvette clamshell hood doesn't promote great visibility but for our host, it's a small price to pay for such a cool one-of-a-kind Corvette.

While at the Corvettes at Carlisle car show, people are absolutely loving the Monster Vette. Mike laughs and tells us that he's "brought much more expensive and much higher power Corvettes" than this one but none have had more interest than this. He does tell us that only one person came up to tell him " oh, I really don't like this one". It surely is a love-it-or-hate-it type of vehicle, but we definitely can't wait to see what Mike will do with the car.
