Quick enough to shatter a quarter-mile record, the 2018 Dodge SRT Challenger Demon is an irresistible piece of dynamic metal. Hennessey Performance Engineering made the Demon more irresistible with its HPE1000 upgrade. The resulting output and torque figures are overwhelming; but wait until you hear the Dodge Demon roar as it paces off.

Power-Hungry Roar

A stock SRT Challenger Demon's 6.2-liter V8 engine – with its 840 hp and 770 lb.-ft. of torque – already delivers a dynamic growl. However, the HPE1000 Demon lets out a beautiful yet powerful roar as soon as the right pedal is pressed. Listening to that sound makes us wonder what's inside this awesome metal fabrication.

Supercharger Upgrades And More

The heart of the HPE1000 Demon Upgrade is a 4.5-liter supercharger, which essentially replaces the factory 2.7-liter supercharger. Hennessey also upgraded the supercharger pulley, throttle body, and high-flow fuel injectors.

The Texas-based tuner also installed high-flow catalytic converters, supercharger bypass valve and air Induction System. Hennessey also threw in stainless steel long tube headers and an HPE calibration upgrade. Once all the necessary installations are complete, the HPE1000 Demon will undergo various tests.

More Powerful Than A Stock Demon

By the way, the HPE1000 Demon wears Hennessey and HPE1000 badges as a proof that it's tuned to deliver 1,035 hp of max output and 948 lb.-ft. of peak torque. Compared to a HPE1000 Demon, a stock version now pales in comparison.
