Manhart Performance are one of the very best auto tuning houses in the world. The German based company has really made a name for itself, especially when it comes to BMWs. They regularly modify and tune the German cars with all manner of performance and cosmetic upgrades. While BMW is their forte, they also regularly take on cars from other companies such as Porsche, Audi and even Bentley are now added to their portfolio. The company though has now decided the time is right to enter the world of EVs with a Tesla.

Modifying EVs for companies like Manhart may soon become the way forward. That is why the company has decided to take the Tesla Model 3 and reinvent the electric machine. Enter the Manhart TM3 510, their efforts at bringing the Manhart treatment to the electric world. The TM3 features all of the visual improvements and enhancements that you would come to expect from a Manhart machine, while the performance side actually takes more of a backseat this time thanks to the already high level of performance that the Tesla Model 3 has to offer.

Manhart Add Their Personal Touch To The Model 3 Design

Manhart are also renowned for their wild visual improvements, and it is certainly no exception with their TM3 510. Gone is the standard color that the Model 3 comes in from the factory. The TM3 from Manhart features the Model 3 in a stunning, deep black gloss finish that really suits the design of the mid-range Tesla. But there is an extra decal set to go with the car that really enhances the overall appearance. A red and gray stripe runs across the car from the hood to the trunk, letting the menacing black machine pop out at us.

Manhart have also run the decal set for the Tesla across the side-mirror stalks, with the red accents appearing there while we also see a subtle Manhart decal along the bottom of the doors. That too is further accented with a red stripe as well. The decal set extends further too, with a sticker on the front fascia of the Tesla and this gives the electric car an appearance of having a honeycomb grille, something that we think actually suits the Tesla even if it is an electric car. It isn’t just visually though that Manhart have worked their magic.

Suspension Upgrades Offer A Subtle Change For The Model 3

Manhart usually go wild with their performance upgrades, however the TM3 sees them take a more modest and subtle approach. As such, the 82 kWh lithium-ion battery within the Model 3 stays the same, and that allows the car to produce a total output of 377 kW or 513 hp. So instead of changing the overall performance, Manhart have worked on the suspension of the car. Lower springs feature on the TM3, these coming from H&R which really help to bring the car that bit closer to the ground.

That is certainly visible looking at the images from Manhart. On top of that, Manhart have added some stunning looking Barracuda rims to the Model 3, that are 21-inches and add even more to the appearance of the Model 3. The wheels themselves are now finished in Platinum Gray in these photos, but Manhart say that the customer can pick their preferred rim color to really jazz up the appearance of the car. These might be more subtle than their usual upgrades, but Manhart have still really enhanced the appearance of the Model 3.

Harder To Tune An EV Versus A Regular Car

This dual-motor Model 3 that Manhart have taken and improved certainly offers a lot. Of course, the architecture of an EV makes it harder to improve the performance compared to a regular car. As such, it's no surprise that Manhart haven’t done anything drastic to the performance of the Model 3. Weirdly though, Manhart haven’t upgraded the minimalist interior of the Model 3, and interior upgrades are very much one of the fortes of the Manhart company. However, you can request cabin upgrades should you wish when you are ordering your TM3.

Subtle But Stunning Changes To The Model 3 From Manhart

While these are subtle changes, Manhart have really managed to work their magic once again on the Tesla Model 3. There are a few more little changes too, with the braking system tweaked for extra performance and tinted rear windows also further jazz up the appearance of the Model 3. The visual upgrades though do offer quite the enhancement for the Tesla, particularly the grille decal and the stripes that run across the car. You will certainly stand out among other Teslas at a charging station, and it is great to see Manhart put as much effort in as is possible with this electric machine.
