The McLaren Sabre is one of the next cars to come from the famous British F1 team and supercar manufacturer. Its appearances in public have been very sporadic, and details on the upcoming car are currently scarce. That doesn’t mean it is impossible to spot, however. Recently, footage has emerged of the car on the streets of Woking, England, the hometown of McLaren. There are no details to come with this video, but we can provide some insight into what we spot on the car as it comes past the camera.
Blinking Hazard Lights

One that immediately pops out to us is the hazard lights. The blinkers are vertical at the front of the car and are flashing as it comes towards the camera. Traditionally, hazard lights are horizontal across the front corners of a car so this is quite a unique place for them to be. The headlights are incredibly thin, and the grille of the car looks to be relatively small as well. The black square at the front is where the license plate would be in the UK.
As the car comes closer, we notice a few more details as well. There is the shark fin in the middle of the car. Used in Formula 1 in 2017, these are primarily to keep a car stable in windier conditions. The fin continues towards the back of the car before we get to the rear wing of the car. The rear wing is pretty large and is held up by a central strut coming off the shark fin, and then two endplates on the left and right of the car.
Small Mirrors
Notice the rather small wing mirrors and side windows as well. It is almost a surprise to see any wing mirrors on this McLaren. The Speedtail for example, didn’t have side mirrors. It had cameras that would retract inwards for better aerodynamic performance. The car is expected to be powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine, and produce a four-figure power output, and of course, include an electrical drive element as well.
