The Plymouth brand only built limited numbers of its Barracuda convertible in the early 1970s. For instance, less than 20 examples of the 440 6-BBL Cuda convertibles came off the production line in 1971. This certain Cuda is one of them. However, it can be considered as the rarest among the rare. Let’s find out why and how this Cuda can be yours!

One of 17 Cuda Convertibles

Fact be told, Plymouth only built 17 V-Code convertible Mopars in 1971. Very few were produced simply because multi-carbureted Mopar convertibles weren't cheap to acquire back then. This makes V-Code Cuda convertibles rare. Interestingly, only one of these convertibles was finished in the premium GY3 Curious Yellow Hi Impact Paint (HIP).

Many years and 12,800 miles later, this 1971 V-Code Cuda convertible underwent a meticulous ground-up restoration process. Of course, it still has its Plymouth 440-cubic engine blessed with three 2-barrel Holley carburetors. Around 385 hp of max output of this performance engine is sent to the TorqueFlite automatic transmission backed with a 8 3/4 differential housing. It comes with power steering as well as power brakes with front discs.
