Known to many, 1970 is the first production year of the Dodge Challenger R/T, and the brand started off by offering quite a number of optional features for the muscle car. Among these options is a power sunroof (Code M51), which was made possible by having a third-party-company chopping the roof off in partially completed cars.

This is an ultra-rare 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. For that model year, only around 82 units of the Dodge Challenger R/T hardtops were fitted with power sunroofs. Of the 82 sun-roofed muscle cars, only three were known to be powered by the optional V-Code 440-ci (7.2 liters) Six-Pack V-8 engine with three 2-barrel carburetors. This V-8 mill provides 390 hp of max output to the wheels through a A727 heavy-duty TorqueFlite automatic transmission.
