The standard of luxury is on the rise and Mercedes is determined not to get left behind. Therefore, the company has decided to refresh their factory-built ultra-luxurious limousine Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman, and have revealed the updated Mercedes-Maybach S650 Pullman with a new grille and an even more opulent interior. While for most of us the changes will seem minor, those truly interested in the heights of luxury should be impressed.
The car is still powered by a twin turbo V-12, however, it has been tuned to produce 621 horsepower, which is nearly 100 hp more than the S600 Pullman. It has an output of 622 bhp of max power and a mammoth 1,000 Nm of peak torque. The vehicle now goes from 0 to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds. That may not be quick in comparison to many vehicles, but for four wheels coming in at more than 21 feet, that’s something.

As for the exterior, there is a completely new grille that was inspired by the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept. The exterior appearance of the top-of-the-range model is rounded off by the 20-inch wheel in 10-hole design known from the Mercedes-Maybach. Customers will also be able to order the S650 Pullman in two-tone paint combinations, which weren’t available on the S600 Pullman, but are available on the 2019 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
Not much has been changed on the interior, for good reason, but three new colors are available, Magma Grey, Mahogany Brown, and Silk Beige/Deep Sea Blue. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to most because the S600 Pullman was already about as stylish and luxurious as could be imagined.
The new S650 Pullman is expected to start off at about half a million Euros, which is a little over $617,000, at current exchange rates. We do expect prices to soar, however, once purchasers add on a variety of options and any customs requests. The most intriguing question remaining is what the most interesting custom additions will be for those who don’t see money as an obstacle. For those looking to travel in style, there is little doubt that this Mercedes is at the top of their gift lists.
