The Mercury Marauder is an automobile produced by the Mercury division of Ford. Contrary to many opinions, the Mercury Marauder was sold as a high-performance car because of its name. Its name was derived from the most potent automobile engines available in the mercury line.

The Mercury Marauder was first produced as a trim option on standard Mercury coupes. It was built as an equivalent of the Ford Galaxie 500 and 500/XL, another great car. After its test, Marauder was given a fastback rear roofline.
