When it comes to modding rides from supercars to pickup trucks, L.A. celebrities with the wheels to spare and the money to spend flock to West Coast Customs for alterations in everything from rims to skins. That's where Nick Cannon turned his Tundra into a monster truck and where Kylie Jenner added new wheels and tinted windows to her Ferrari. The latest celeb to take advantage of this high-end custom shop was Quavo Huncho from the hip-hop trio Migos, who wanted his Tesla X pimped to the max.

Rapper Wants It Bloody

Huncho had just bought a Tesla and wanted to customize it with a red interior and exterior with chrome. "Make it bloody," he said. As for the interior, the rapper wanted every part red, from all the components on the dash to the door handles. But he wants the outside chrome untouched while refitting the wheels in chrome.

In response, the folks at West Coast said that they couldn't wrap a Tesla with such a skin, so they recommended a painted candy red coating. The designer tapped to do the rendering was aghast in astonishment about the work that would go into bloodying the interior, but felt relieved about the exterior chrome. He even suggested a real badass option in outfitting the Tesla with OG wheels.

A Panel-By-Panel Makeover

After Huncho approved the rendering, West Coast got to work on applying the candy red. Except it's not a matter of just spraying the exterior with a few coats and letting it dry. This job calls for the removal of every interior and exterior panel, which are all painted separately, so it looks like it came that way from the Tesla factory. The seat upholstery will be an even more detailed task, with red leather applied with diamond stitching. Oh, and no synthetic leather, please.

A bonus request was a monster sound system and West Coast is up to that part of the project with a massive rewiring through the cabin. Those will connect two-way components set up in the front and rear as well as two deadly subwoofers in the back to accentuate those deep drum 'n' bass sounds.

A month later, West Coast finally completed the job and Quavo was excited over what his Tesla would look like. And he's impressed when he shows up. After gazing at the color and sitting in the driver's seat, his rating is "10 out of 10... telling the blood and cherry and that's what he did, made it scary."

Sounds like he's down with it, folks.
