When it comes to small cars and iconic cars, there are few more iconic than the classic Mini. The Mini is one of the greatest cars to ever come from the United Kingdom, and spans various generations over the past sixty years or so. The Mini is of course still around, but merely as a brand within BMW producing much larger cars that don’t quite have the ethos of the original Mini. That doesn’t mean we can have cool things though.

A car we saw unveiled earlier this year was the David Brown Automotive Mini Remastered Marshall Edition. It was in fact conceived to celebrate the classic Mini and Marshall Amplifications 60th anniversary in 2022. This rather stellar looking creation has finally fully broken cover, and best of all, it is available now to order for those who want to get their hands on it. The car is currently on display in Paris at the Citadium complex until December 12th, and there are plenty of stunning images of the new Mini Remastered on the Marshall website. As far as tributes go, this is right up there with the very best.

A Stunning Tribute To A Timeless Classic

The special car will make its debut in Europe, and for those who want one, act fast. Because they are very limited to just 60 examples. Fortunately as well, both right and left-hand drive versions of the Mini Remastered will be available. David Brown is the outlet where you can order one, or via the network of international distributors meaning you can get one sent to the United States. Very good news for Mini fans in the USA.

David Brown is of course a company well known for incredible Remastered Minis. Just see the rather beautiful Oselli Edition for proof of their work. But this is perhaps the most exquisite to come from their works yet. The car is hand-built, featuring dark chrome exterior brightwork as well as Marshall Black paint. Painted accents on the car mirror the appearance of various audio products from the British company. Naturally with such a collaboration, a high quality sound system from Marshall comes with the Mini Remastered. This is an eight-speaker unit, with its own pull-out DS1 Combo amp in the cargo area. It’s the perfect audio system for the car.

Taking Remastered Minis To The Very Next Level

This Mini Remastered is certainly taking Remastered Minis to the next level, with some truly brilliant details. That Marshall sound system is also said to be rather loud, but perhaps even louder is the engine under the hood of this little car. Powering the Mini Remastered is a 1.3-liter engine with 83 hp to its name as well as 98 lb-ft of torque. That of course does not sound a lot, but it is more than enough for a little car like this that will not weight as much as your big SUVS.

Performance wise, David Brown say that this epic little car has a 0-62 mph time of 8.9 seconds. You aren’t going to break any 1/4 mile records with this machine, but you are going to have a lot of fun. When it comes to pricing, there is no set retail price for the Mini Remastered. The two parties say that it will be available upon application. The Oselli Edition would sell for $138,000 so expect it to match that at the very least, and perhaps exceed given the extra details and later introduction of this edition.

A Classic Mini For The Modern Era

Marshall says that cars and music go together like amplifiers and guitars. And they ask the question, what could be more rock ‘n’ roll than this collaboration? Well, the answer to that is not much! The back of the car shows off the amplifier in the rear section, with the “1 of 60” lettering also on full show on the left of the Marshall unit. The accents around the car really allow that paintwork to stand out, and there is a 100% chance of turning heads in this rather wonderful little machine.

With just 60 units of this car coming available, those who want one will have to act very fast to get their hands-on one example. We expect that most are likely to end up in the United Kingdom, but the fact that there are plenty of Mini fans in the United States should in theory mean at least one will find its way into North America. If you do happen to manage that you will be part of an ultra-exclusive club, owning one of the rarest special editions of Mini in the world, and one that celebrates two very special anniversaries.
