The new Toyota Prius' bodykit from Modellista shows just how cool the marque's new car is. An all-new car, the 2023 Prius reforms the model's design. Each generation of Prius, while well-loved by their buyers to the rest of us looks rather mundane. Functional with the occasional interesting design edge the models hardly appealed to the gearheads of the world. With a minimalistic sleek overhaul, the 2023 Toyota Prius looks set to dominate the world.

Now Modellista, a Japanese aftermarket company introduces two body kits for the new car. The first called Elegant Ice accentuates the car's minimalistic design. The second kit breaks away from this a little and goes by the name Neo Advanced, a darker vision of the future taken straight from cyberpunk fiction. These two kits improve Modellista's already pretty wide range of parts for both Toyota and Lexus models.

The 2023 Prius receives a series of body kits from JDM manufacturer Modellista.

The new 2023 Toyota Prius replaces the fourth-generation model that first came on sale for the 2016 model year. With plenty of technological developments since then, now is the time for Toyota must launch the new Prius. With the rise of the EV and the decline of the internal combustion engine, the future for hybrids seems in doubt. After all for many, cars like Toyota's Prius and the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, only ever were halfway houses to a sustainable future. However, Toyota through its commitment to hydrogen as a fuel source understands that electricity isn't the solution, but a part of it. As a result the Prius still deserves its place.

With the commitment to the continued existence of the Prius, the after-market continues to support Toyota's development of the Prius. One such company Modellista already announce a bodykit for the humble Toyota, only a week or so after its announcement. Keen to promote their new car, according to Toyota, the car seems "Sporty Yet Comfort"

Modellista builds on the new Prius' sleek body. At the bumper come some aggressive canards that build into the front fenders. Along the side of the car, the new side skirts give the aesthetic of a car that rides lower to the ground. Not the most practical of modification but in the Modellista guise, the new Prius looks like some sort of spaceship mixed with a supercar. This forms their new Elegant Ice Style. This builds from the previous generation's bodykit from Modellista which used the same name.

The aftermarket manufacturer continues to finish off this aesthetic by adding various chrome trims. This idealistic futurism builds on the look of the new Prius.

According to Modellista, this bodykit uses, "Advanced expression with large LED illumination and bold three-dimensional blackout styling that emphasizes its dynamic presence". In Modellista's front bumper sits some LEDs that form part of the 'NEO ADVANCE' philosophy. Less utopian than the Elegant Ice Style, instead this design package comes from a darker future. This dash of neon along with the black accents seems a little more in line with a cyberpunk look.

The previous generation of Prius Modellista alongside the Elegant Ice Style also sold the Iconic style, which darkened the car's overall look and feels. This motif continues with the bodykit for the 'NEO ADVANCE' package, with more creases on the bumpers and side skirts these looks not only sharper and more aggressive but these creases contrast drastically with the new Prius' design. Less minimalistic, this looks somewhat confusing but is certainly a far cry from an OEM-designed model.

This second option certainly looks a little more JDM-inspired and turns the new Prius into a mean-looking street car. Considering that the new Prius will have an optional 220 horsepower engine that achieves 60mph in 6.6 seconds. The new Prius has the bite to match this body kit's bark.

The rear of the car adopts the simple, minimalistic straight horizontal light bar. A premium touch that started life on Audis and Porsches, it now improves the aesthetic of the next generation of Toyota. This premium air continues elsewhere. The side profile of the car seems vastly improved, with one smooth sweeping line. Long gone are the previous car's body creases that created an aggressive angularity that leaves a somewhat messy look.

The hood bears resemblance to the attractive, rejuvenated Toyota Corolla hatchback that recently saw great attention with the GR Corolla. In one rather exuberant flair towards the rear of the car, there's a stylized horizontal body crease that adds more texture to the rear fender.

The new Toyota Prius sees a great improvement to the interior cabin of this vehicle as well. Taking inspiration from the usual suspects the Japanese manufacturer improved the infotainment display, where the center console spans almost half the dashboard. The number of buttons appears to have reduced, but certain features like climate control still retain their button controls. The rest of the cabin continues to represent the minimalism of the outside.
