Chevrolet is one of the most popular domestic automakers. From its inception, the company was destined to become among the most successful vehicle manufacturers domestically, but also abroad. As decades went by, Chevrolet cemented its reputation as the most respected brand under the General Motors umbrella.

Classic Chevys have been in the spotlight for years. Thanks to their sleek designs and astonishing performances, they have become some of the most respected cars out there. Some of the most powerful modern-day Chevys are also very likely to appreciate over time. Though the appreciation game can be a gamble, some Chevy cars are destined to cost an arm and a leg after a while.

9 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS

The 1990s can be perceived as the beginning of the muscle car renaissance. Iconic muscle cars such as the Mustang and Camaro were finally getting more powerful engines, and the less desirable muscle cars were simply disappearing one after the other. The 1990s also saw the re-introduction of muscle sedans.

The Impala SS is among Chevrolet's most important cars and trucks. It is the only muscle sedan produced by Chevrolet during the 1990s. The 5.7L V8 produces 260 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. Despite having produced around 70,000 units, finding an Impala SS in mint condition in 20 to 30 years might be quite challenging.

8 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS

The early 2000s were quite a very interesting period of time. Most automakers seemed to have regained their mojo. Muscle cars were sleek and powerful. Moreover, these companies decided to introduce more edgy vehicles, such as the muscle sedans and trucks. Jeep is well-known for its Cherokee SRT-8, but Chevy also had its own powerful SUV.

The Trailblazer SS paved the way for several muscle SUVs out there. A huge 6.0L V8 was shoehorned into the engine bay. The engine produces 390 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Though the Trailblazer SS is nowhere as powerful as the Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk or Dodge Durango Hellcat, it is a great SUV that packs quite a punch. A '08 Trailblazer SS with 50,000 miles on the odometer and all the bells and whistles costs around $14,000.

7 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

The best part about muscle cars is their special editions. Though their names often ring a bell, they tend to be produced in limited numbers. On top of being rare, they usually look far more aggressive and powerful. Chevrolet never failed to release some outstanding special edition muscle cars over the years.

The Camaro Z28 has always been known as a car that can be both a daily driver and a race car with its 7.0L LS7 V8 that produces 505 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. For this edition of the Z28, Chevrolet limited the production to only 3,000 units, which is a clear indicator that the car will appreciate rapidly over time.

6 2016 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R

The Corvette C6 is an astonishing vehicle. The Z06 and ZR1 editions are mean-looking and high-powered. The C6, along with the previous Corvettes, paved the way for generations of exquisite and powerful Corvettes. Upon the release of the C7, Chevrolet set the bar really high, again. It does not mean that the automaker was incapable of releasing even greater versions of its newer vehicles.

The Corvette C7 Z06 is great. However, the C7.R is even better. The C7.R is equipped with a supercharged 6.2L V8 that cranks out a calming 650 hp. Since only 500 units were ever made, this one of a kind Z06 sure will appreciate in value within the next ten years or so.

5 2017 Chevrolet SS

It seems as if the only company capable of making truly fast sports sedans in the US is Dodge/Chrysler. Outside of the Charger and 300 SRT-8, most sedans are simply not satisfying. Cadillac did release some great sedans, but their high price can be a huge turn off to most motorists. Chevrolet does have a great sedan in its portfolio.

It has been said that the Chevy SS was a total failure. Though the car did not sell really well, the Chevy SS is far from being as bad as a Pontiac Aztec. The SS comes with a 6.2L V8 that cranks out 415 hp. Though it is 70 hp less than the Charger SRT-8, it definitely qualifies as a muscle sedan.

4 2018 Chevrolet Yenko Camaro SC

The Camaro is by far the most popular and most accessible Chevy muscle car ever made by General Motors. As the Corvette is far more expensive and consequently more exclusive, it tends to be reserved for a population with deep pockets. With all that being said, the Camaro can easily cost more than a Corvette, and it can also become far more powerful than a Lamborghini.

This Yenko SC is among the coolest Yenko Camaros ever made. The stickers give away the fact that this Camaro is incredibly powerful thanks to a variety of aftermarket parts made by Special Vehicle Engineering. Using the 6.2L V8 LT1 as a base, the Camaro cranks out an insane 1,000 hp. However, the 1,000 hp Yenko Camaro Stage 2 is limited to 25 units.

3 2018 Chevrolet Yenko Silverado

American pickup trucks are the best pickup trucks on the planet. They are sturdy, imposing, and powered by some really good engines. Back in the 1980s, the muscle truck craze came about. GMC and its Syclone is the prime example of what can be done with a truck. Chevrolet did not want the trend to die.

The Yenko Silverado is less powerful than the Camaro customized by Special Vehicle Engineering. However, the modified Silverado LT Z71 can produce 800 hp and 750 lb-ft of torque thanks to a supercharged 6.8L V8. Since only 25 units were ever made, it is safe to assume that this super truck's value will increase over time.

2 2019 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

Back in 2002, Chevrolet retired the Camaro. The fourth generation, which was first introduced in 1993, was an abject failure. The car was uglier than Shrek, and its huge engines were barely producing enough power to propel a Fiat 500 down the quarter-mile. Chevrolet did learn from its mistakes, the latest ZL1 is proof of that.

The Camaro SS is very powerful. The 6.2L V8 produces 455 hp which almost as much as the Mustang GT of the same year. Chevrolet decided to make an even more powerful version of the Camaro SS. The ZL1 is equipped with a supercharged 6.2L V8 that produces 650 hp. The ZL1's top speed is a whopping 198 mph.

1 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z06

Upon the release of the C7, it is quite easy to see that Chevrolet was on the path to truly revolutionize the Corvette. When the C8 was introduced to the public, every single gearhead realized that from there on out, the Corvette was going to be a supercar killer. Though the 700hp plus engines have yet to come, it is safe to say that Chevrolet is preparing something truly mind-blowing.
