Electric cars are starting to take over the automotive industry, all while helping to promote our environment. What's better than an efficient electric car? How about a modded electric car that holds the performance qualities of some of the most petroleum-based vehicles on the market today?! Let's take a look at some of the sickest modified electric cars we've seen.

9 1909 Edition EV3

Via Just British

We've uncovered many classic cars that we wish were brought back as EVs, but this beautifully crafted mod can easily hold us over in the meantime. This 1909 Edition EV3 is the perfect combination of British styling combined with automotive engineering.

If a three-wheeled electric car isn't enough to get your heart pumping, just look at the exterior. The classy and luxurious appearance of this ride fills us with pure joy. The sleek look of an all-black, glossy paint job combined with custom leather seats is pure magic. We'd drive this EV any day.

Via Electrek

A Tesla Model X that looks this good, is electric, and offers tons of performance - what's not to love? The price tag on this modded beauty is around a whopping $180,000. We know, this car is sadly expensive, but look at the custom details it has.

The color combination of the white exterior and the red Bentley interior is enough to make anyone fall head over heels. Not to mention it sits on top of a set of 22" Forged wheels and has a Rockford Fosgate sound systems. The modifications add up to nearly $60,000 alone. We get why this perfectly created Tesla Model X is so expensive.

7 2010 Toyota Prius

Via Autoblog

There has been an ongoing discussion about whether the Toyota Prius is one of the best used hybrid cars. While the Prius has held a prominent place in the electric car world for quite a while now, we never imagined it becoming a sick modded car, let alone make an appearance at SEMA.

The color detailing on this car is an excellent choice. The silver body, combined with the black detailing on the hood makes the car look mean... for a Prius that is. One unique feature that is very noticeable is the yellow, orange rims. It is an odd color choice, but it manages to make the exterior of this electric car pop with ease.

6 BMW i3

The BMW i3 is another vehicle that we honestly did not expect to make this list but just look at those modifications. For as small as this electric car is, the mod choices really bring a beastly persona out of this car. Some sick modified cars have stemmed from Japan, and this is a prime example.

The fire orange accompanied by the black lightning bolt print on the sides. The interior is just as special as the outside, home to Recaro LX-F seats wrapped in orange leather and suede. We don't know about you but this tiny beast is on our wish list.

5 Audi E-Tron

Via CarTuning.WS

We are beyond exciting about the 2021 Audi E-Tron, but this tuner can definitely hold us over in this meantime. Sitting on a set of custom Vossen Forged wheels, this blue stunner is an amazing creation to say the very least.

There is something about this shade of blue that is so appealing to look at, it stole our hearts at first glance. Not to mention the luxurious leather interior to tie it all together. As for performance, this electric beauty pushes out 400 horsepower.

4 Porsche Taycan Turbo S

Via Motor Illustrated

The Porsche Taycan has been previously said to be superior to the Tesla, and by the looks of this beastly mod, we can still agree. It also has been named as a great family car. If a car could have a personality, this Porsche's personality would be badass. The exterior modifications on the car create a very intimidating appearance, and not in a negative way.

The shade of deep red is immaculate, not to mention the all-black wheels and spoiler to match. The side flares help to add more of a bulky, wide appearance to the car, and we love it. The power this electric car produces is insane, outputting over 750 horsepower and a 0-60mph time of 2.6 seconds, this creation is beyond impressive.

3 Tesla Model 3

Via CleanTechnica

It shouldn't be a surprise to see yet again another Tesla model on this list of electric cars. While we've uncovered 15 things you did not know about this Tesla model, did you know wrapping one could look this good? We didn't, especially with rainbow colors.

Via Monumental Workx

This beauty is wrapped in holographic chrome, giving the perfect amount of shine and color each time the daylight touches the car. The all-black wheels and rims, along with the deep tinted windows are the perfect addition to the already intense body. While rainbow cars are not usually our cup of tea, we must say this Tesla has been modded and wrapped beautifully.

2 Custom Toyota Mirai

Via Toyota Newsroom

Who knew a tiny, electric car like the Prius could bring us back to the future, literally. This mod looks like it could be a prominent feature in that film, but it was actually built for SEMA in 2015. It was converted from four doors to two butterfly doors that are a unique yet tasteful addition to this model. It is a feature that we didn't know we needed.

Aside from the obvious mod of the butterfly styled doors, the trunk also pops out horizontally. If that isn't a cool futuristic touch to a car we don't know what is. To tie it all together, the combination of the silver exterior with the black leather interior and all-black wheels is the perfect touch. Prius can take us to the future any day after seeing this mod.

1 Peugeot E-208

Via Carscoops

This is yet another electric car on this list that surprised us with attractive modifications. We have to admit, the mods on this car do the trick. Compared to the stock version, this ride looks supremely sporty.

Via Carscoops

The redesigned front and rear bumpers, wide fenders, and dual exhaust tips really help to take this car's appearance to the next level. The orange and black color combination is an excellent choice. Although the performance specs aren't the greatest, with only 205 horsepower and a top speed of 145 mph, the looks seal the deal for us.
