Dissatisfied with the performance of his car, Ferruccio and decided to share his feedback with the proud owner of the company- Enzo Ferrari. As expected, old man Ferrari told off Ferruccio who went on to become his arch-rival. The competing companies have turned out some exciting automotive designs over the years and enthusiasts have upped the ante by modifying these Italian thoroughbreds.

The Lamborghini Aventador was one of the most striking V12 models in the Italian car manufacturer’s lineup. The car's tactical aesthetic was inspired by the aeronautical industry and was one of the most intimidating designs in the segment at the time.

Ken Okuyama built on the Italian offering by turning the supercar into a luxurious and upscale ride with his rich redesign. Kode 0 is made entirely out of carbon fiber and features a vibrant dual-tone silver and neon green color scheme. The car is also 400 lbs lighter than Aventador.

According to Ken Okuyama, Kode 57 was a product that required years of research and prep work which also involved teaching the owner how to draw. The car’s bodywork was a combination of glass and carbon fiber which made it extremely lightweight.

Kode 57 borrows its platform from a Ferrari 599 and the 6-liter V12 motor in front-engine roadster produces 690 BHP of peak power. At the time of its introduction, Kode 57 was priced at $1.79 million and prices of the modified Ferrari may have even appreciated since then.

The 799 BHP Venatus EVO sports a Matt blue color scheme with contrasting exposed carbon elements and neon green accents.

To develop the Stallone 812 Superfast, Mansory used Ferrari's grand touring model and modified it into a track-focused beast. The modifications are not just skin deep as Mansory used carbon fiber to sculpt the redesigned bodywork. The car’s vivid red color scheme is contrasted by exposed carbon fiber panels.

The Mansory Stallone 812 Superfast is not the most subtle offering to have come from the German-based tuning company and the vibrant yellow brake calipers are a testament to the car’s unapologetic flamboyance. With the help of a very capable sports exhaust system, the power output of Stallone was bumped up to 830 BHP.

Lamborghini designed Jalpa to cater to enthusiasts who wanted a more comfortable and affordable offering from the raging Bull brand. The Jalpa wasn’t Lambo's most popular offerings even though it was easy to drive on challenging roads and could just as easily navigate through city traffic.

The wedged design of the car was quite attractive and resonates even today. In this modification, Lambo’s modest powerplant was swapped for a monstrous LS1 motor that bestows Jalpa with the performance that is as exciting as the Italian sports car’s design.

The Ferrari Conciso is not just a modified Ferrari but also a beautiful concept car. Conciso is the only Ferrari of its kind and was designed by Bernd Michalak, a German designer who modified a 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS with a minimalist design approach.

Hennessy strapped an HPE900 twin-turbo performance kit to the Huracan’s V10 powerplant which bumps the power up to 912 BHP. The enhanced power comes as a courtesy of a 7 PSI boost which helps this modified Lambo go 0 to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds

3 ProDrive Ferrari 550 GTS GT1 Maranello

British motorsport brand Prodrive decided to use a Ferrari 550 as their contender for the Le Mans championship. In the past, the company had also designed the legendary WRC-going Subaru Impreza.
