Pretty much anything is possible if you've got the cash. This Bentley Bentayga is no exception. The Bentley-commissioned Space Edition was personally customized and built for a customer. A rather wealthy one, we imagine.

A Rocket Ship For the Roads

This impressive feat started when Bentley's Mulliner Design team took on this customer's request. The base car is a Bentley Bentayga Speed, the fastest, and most expensive version of the Bentayga. If you're getting the fastest model, you might as well make it look like a rocket ship, right?

All the changes for the Space Edition are aesthetic, so there aren't any changes besides looks. However, there are many, many aesthetic changes. The most noticeable change is the exterior paint color: Cypress. You may recognize this paint color from the first-generation Continental GT, as that's where the Cypress color made its world debut.

There are green undertones, and all instances of chrome got replaced with black. The Mulliner team also added orange flame accents to pre-existing carbon fiber to create a comet-like look.

The interior received the same kind of treatment, as it too got a fully custom color scheme. That orange from the outside carries over to the inside, and it's found all over the dash. Similarly, there's also a Galaxy Stone trim all throughout the interior.

Overall, there are two prominent trim colors in the interior: Beluga and Porpoise. Both of these work with the orange and Galaxy Stone trim to extend the space-feel from the exterior to the interior of the Bentayga Speed Space Edition.

Moving At The Speed Of Light

Though, even if the changes to the Space Edition are purely aesthetic, it's not like the Bentayga Speed really needed a power boost. The Bentayga Speed jets off because of a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 that pushes out 626 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. It only takes 3.9 seconds for the Bentayga Speed to go from 0-60 mph. Those are impressive figures for a regular car – let alone a luxury SUV. An eight-speed automatic transmission pairs with the W12 to help reach a top speed of 190 mph.

The Bentayga Speed comes with 4 drive modes: Comfort, Sport, Bentley, and Custom. Putting the car in Sport mode enhances the response from that eight-speed transmission, so drivers can really feel like they're in a rocket ship.

Bentley didn't reveal the price for this specific build, but we do know that the Bentayga Speed starts at $245,000 — so it wouldn't be extraordinary to expect that this custom model cost over $300,000.
