It is safe to suggest that Disick enjoys the luxury things in life. His celebrity status reflects his megabucks, which means he can afford to own some impressive cars. Therefore, the Shelby Cobra really does stand out as his most outrageous and also most fascinating car.

Seeing as the majority of Scott Disick's car collection oozes luxury and timelessness, it is quite a shock to see a vintage model in his lineup. The Shelby Cobra is unlike anything else in his entire collection. It proves that Disick might have a soft spot for vintage rides as well as luxury sports cars.

Most of Disick's collection boasts nothing but luxury and sportiness. From his Bentley Mulsanne and Flying Spur to his Bugatti, Lamborghini, and Ferrari, it is quite obvious that he mainly enjoys high-end and modern-day sports cars. Yet, this vintage gem shows that Disick might also be passionate about other cars that have a history as much as a great performance.

The reason Disick's Shelby Cobra is the most outrageous car in his collection is down to the fact that he has nothing else like it in his garage. It obviously wouldn't be right to suggest that some of his rides that cost over $300,000, like the Bugatti Veyron and Bentley Mulsanne, are the star's most outrageous cars. Seeing as many other celebrities own these cars too, they really are not anything groundbreaking or surprising for a celebrity to own.

However, seeing as Scott Disick's collection is primarily focused on luxury sports cars, the Shelby Cobra is something outstanding and totally surprising.

The Shelby Cobra model is pretty unique, which might be why Disick has a keen interest in it. Only 998 units of these were ever produced back in the '60s, and today, they sell for around $2 million. It certainly is a head-turning car, which could be another reason as to why Disick is so fond to have it in his garage.

With just 998 units ever produced, the Shelby Cobra is one of the rarest cars ever to feature a Ford engine. To be precise, the Shelby Cobra Mark I models are kitted out with either a 4.3-liter or 4.7-liter Ford Zephyr V8 engine, depending on the model number. Out of the 126 Mark I Cobras, the first 75 feature the 4.3-liter engine, and the remaining 51 feature the 4.7-liter version of the Windsor V8.

Shelby Cobra features a Ford engine due to Carroll Shelby's aim of fitting a nice big American V8 into a lightweight British roaster. To do so, he had to find a manufacturer to deliver the right engine.

First, Carroll Shelby approaches General Motors, but they quickly decline his proposal. GM was having difficulties turning their Chevrolet into viable sports cars at the time, so they were not willing to attempt a collaboration with another manufacturer. After the decline, Shelby went to Ford as he knew that they had the Thunderbird, which was doing very well. Although it was not a proper sports car, they did accept his proposal and went on to provide Carroll Shelby with a couple of their new lightweight Windsor 221 small block V8 engines to see what he and AC could come up with. The result is the Shelby Cobra, which is a huge success even in the modern-day automotive scene.

Overall, the 998 units of Shelby Cobras were a huge triumph for AC Shelby. So much so that one now lives with Scott Disick. It might not be the highest performance or expensive car in Scott's collection, but it certainly is the most outstanding and outrageous.
