NASCAR drivers may have tons of experience driving around at the highest speeds possible around the circuit aiming to win various races at all costs, but that isn't something that they can do out on the roads with everyone else.
Every NASCAR driver has an everyday car that they drive, and they range from incredible supercars that continue to thrill on the roads, to beaters that you would not expect professional drivers to be using on a daily basis.
Within this list, we will take a deep dive into 10 cars that NASCAR drivers use on a daily basis in their real lives, and why they chose that car.
10 Ryan Newman: 1949 Buick Roadmaster
Ryan Newman was presented with his 1949 Buick Roadmaster Convertible Coupe on his 30th birthday by his wife, Krissie, who threw him a major party where she brought him his surprise present.
The car was picked due to the fact it was featured in the movie, Rain Man, which is Ryan's favorite film, making this an incredibly personal gift, even though Newman refers to this as his "beater car."
Newman often uses this car to go from point A to B, using it for his daily tasks, so if you see one on the road the NASCAR star could easily be inside behind the wheel.
9 Jeff Gordon: Chevy Tahoe Hybrid
While he may now be an announcer for NASCAR on FOX, Jeff Gordon is one of the greatest drivers in the history of the sport. As a four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and a three-time Daytona 500 winner, Gordon really was one of the best.
Gordon owns several different cars in his personal garage, from a Jaguar XK-8 to a 1934 Ford, but the vehicle that is used most commonly is the Chevy Tahoe Hybrid SUV, with Gordon opting to use that for day-to-day usage.
It makes sense as it is a very practical car for driving around and getting things done, and he clearly has a partnership with Chevrolet, as there is a dealership bearing his name and likeness in Wilmington, NC.
8 Dale Earnhardt: 1967 Camaro
Dale Earnhardt comes from a lineage of great drivers, with Dale being a third-generation race car driver, so it is no surprise that he is a major petrol head outside of the NASCAR circuits.
Dale is a major Camaro guy, which also runs in the family, with his father having built a racing Camaro with his dad, so it clearly is something that runs in the family, and Dale continued that tradition.
He owns several different Camaro's, with the 1967 model being the pick of the bunch, which his family is no doubt proud to see him owning.
7 Danica Patrick: Lamborghini Gallardo
Danica Patrick was the first woman in history to win an Indy car race, making her a historic driver that will always be remembered, but her love for speed goes much further than just NASCAR.
Patrick is known for enjoying the speed outside of the NASCAR world where she owns a Lamborghini Gallardo, which she often drives around at incredible speeds in her hometown of Scottsdale, Arizona.
However, it was while driving in her Mercedes ML 63 AMG that Patrick really proved her need for speed when she picked up a speeding ticket for doing 57 in a 40 zone, which led to her having to attend traffic school.
6 Tony Stewart: 1984 Cadillac Hearse
Tony Stewart's choice of a personal car is one that is well known amongst people as it often draws in plenty of attention, driving the 1984 Cadillac Hearse which he has decided to name Smoke DeVille.
Stewart takes great pride in the vehicle, as you can tell by the fact he even personally named it, but that isn't the only car that he has in his garage, although it certainly is the most interesting.
However, he does own several other cars such as a 2003 Hummer which is equipped with several TVs, and a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am Firebird, which Stewart has claimed to be his favorite car.
5 Carl Edwards: Ford Fusion Hybrid
The Ford Fusion Hybrid is a brilliant vehicle that provides a fantastic drive, with this being a car that most people would love to have, yet when you think of top NASCAR drivers a Ford Fusion isn't really the vehicle that comes to mind.
One of the reasons that Carl Edwards has a Ford Fusion is because NASCAR drivers are very loyal to their sponsors, which is why he ended up with the car, driving a Fusion on and off the track when he was racing with Roush Fenway Racing.
Edwards helped put the Ford Fusion on the map in 2010 when he drove it 1445.7 miles on just a single tank of gas, which is a promotion that any company would be happy to have.
4 Jimmie Johnson: 1949 Chevy Stepside
On the outside, Jimmie Johnson's personal ride may look like a beater that you wouldn't be expecting a top NASCAR driving to be riding around in on a daily basis, but he is more than happy with the vintage pickup truck.
While it might look like a rusty old vehicle that could do with going to the scrapyard, this is a truck that Johnson loves driving, using it on a daily basis, with the NASCAR star claiming that it is very comfortable to drive in.
On top of that, whilst it might look old and beaten on the outside, if you pop the hood you will see a very powerful Corvette engine, which gets this pickup truck moving a lot quicker than you may first guess.
3 Kyle Petty: Toyota Prius
The Toyota Prius seems to be a firm favorite of a car amongst celebrities and athletes, with countless different famous people owning a Prius, regardless of the fact it isn't a top supercar.
NASCAR legend, Kyle Petty is another example of someone who owns a Prius, and even though it is absolutely nothing like what he used to drive around on the NASCAR tracks, Petty clearly wants to help the environment instead.
Petty said that the Prius has been a "10 all the way around," with Petty being pleased with how much space that the car has, proving that he is more than happy with it.
2 Daniel Suarez: Volkswagen Beetle
Daniel Suarez is a very popular current NASCAR driver, but his choice of everyday cars are not what you might expect, option for an old-school, classic Volkswagen Beetle as his personal choice of vehicle.
Suarez owns a Toyota Camry which he does most of his daily driving in, but his classic Beetle is what he is really passionate about, driving the car from Mexico to the U.S.A after he became an official NASCAR driver.
The fact that he nearly broke down multiple times during the journey shows that the Beetle might have seen better days, but it is certainly an iconic car that he is pleased to own.
1 Kyle Busch: Lexus LFA
Kyle Busch is one of the lead names in NASCAR right now, competing full-time in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series where he drives a Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing.
With the nickname of Rowdy, it is no surprise he has had a real success in NASCAR, with Busch becoming the youngest pole winner in a Cup Series race back in 2005 at California Speedway.
He may drive Toyota on the track, but in his personal life, he enjoys driving a Lexus LFA, which is a powerful vehicle, generating 552 horsepower with a six-speed automatic transmission.
