A 30-year old Ferrari 328 GTS with less than 500 kilometers on the odometer is coming out of hiding and onto the auction block. After spending most of its life sheltered away to maintain its pristine condition, this Ferrari 328 GTS with a rich history is being put up for sale once more.

The Story

This Ferrari was originally purchased in the 1980s during a high-point in the demand for supercars with good looks and even better performance. Due to overwhelming demand, the current owner paid almost double the vehicle’s value. However, after spending that much money on the GTS, the owner found it hard to devalue it by driving it around, so it was never even registered and spent most of the past 25 years sheltered from the elements. Eventually the vehicle passed hands again and now the current owner has decided to put it back on the market once more.

There’s a lot to love about this well-preserved beauty. The bright red exterior and its sharp and sleek design is shiny and unblemished. The interior is breathtaking, complete with a matte leather steering wheel, leather seats that have never been sat in, soft carpets, and a whole console of never-before-touched switches and gauges. High-performance is also to be expected, as it’s a Ferrari supercar, but the drivability of this specific model is assured since it’s never been driven.

Details regarding the specifics of the auction of the Ferrari 328 GTS have not been announced. We expect that it won’t be a cheap buy, but with all of this history behind it, we think it’s a good trade off. We’re mainly just curious whether or not the next owner of the vehicle will actually drive it or if it’ll be purchased just to spend more time in hiding.
