Concepts are often showcased at the major auto shows all over the world, like the Detroit Auto Show, LA Auto Show or the Geneva Auto Show for example. It is also at these same shows that cars are officially debuted to the world when it is decided to actually produce the vehicle. Unfortunately for most, that day never comes, and they remain just a concept, as very few get put into production.

Many of the cars mentioned on this list have been dangled in front of consumers' faces for many years, with countless rumors being spread. It’s hard to decipher what you can actually believe in the world of cars. Even when a car is announced that it will be put into production, consumers still have to wait many years until the concept finally becomes reality. In a lot of cases, the actual car winds up being a watered down version of the concept, more times than others due to budget.

They say all good things are worth waiting for, and that’s exactly what we think about some of the upcoming 2020 models. Here are 25 new car arrivals in 2020 that have us all on the edge of our seat.

According to Jalopnik the C Two destroys the first concepts numbers, making 1,914 hp and 1,696 lb/ft of torque, which means it would need less than two seconds to get to sixty, getting a quarter mile done in 9.1 seconds.

Oh, and did we mention that it is all electric? Because it is, powered by four separate electric motors.

19 Land Rover Defender

Via Roadandtrack.com

The Land Rover Defender was one tough cookie back in the nineties, but sadly for the US, they were discontinued after 1997. According to Car and Driver, they remained in production in the UK until it was finally discontinued altogether in 2016.

The new Defender is expected to have both a turbocharged 2.0-liter gas and diesel engine, and will hopefully be much more refined than the last model,

Via Appealmond.com

If the Tesla Roadster claims to be as fast as it is, then it will be the fastest production car ever made in the world. Business Trader, Elon Musk, the mastermind behind Tesla, claims that the Roadster will be able to get to sixty in 1.9 seconds, and will be able to get to 100 in just 4.2.

17 Audi E-Tron GT

Via Torquenews.com

It seems like everyone is doing away with their massive engine, following in Tesla’s footsteps and going the electric route.

According to Forbes, only 1888 R8’s were built last year, which is proof that people are losing interest in large displacement engines, and why going the electric route is almost necessary.

According to Motor 1, the E-Tron GT is concentrating more on making maximum power, rather than range. The concept will be on display at the LA Auto show, that kicks off later this month.

Via Motorauthority.com

11 Ferrari Purosangue

Via Torquingcars.com

Via Motor1.com

According to Motor Trend, the iX3’s concept featured a battery that was good for 270 hp, getting almost 250 miles of range on one charge, and can be fully charged in just a half an hour.
