There have been some amazing new cars that have been released over the past few years, and have been available in America. Sports cars like the latest Chevrolet Camaro and the Porsche 911 are brilliant cars that are available in the US. These cars have great build quality, reliability and are fantastic performers, which makes them great for US enthusiasts to get their hands on.

However, some recently released cars have not been available in the US. This is really disappointing and we wish that some of the cars launched by Renault, Ford, and Lotus were offered in America. This list will explore some of the new cars that we wish were available in the US.

8 Alpine A110

Released in 2018, the Alpine A110 has been a massive hit in the car world. It is fantastic to drive and is really is nostalgic of the Alpine A110 released in 1961. There is brilliant performance and the car is incredibly balanced, making it a dream to drive.

The car is so immersive for the driver, and it has been one of the best cars that have come out of Europe in recent years. This means that it is quite sad to say that the Alpine A110 is not sold in the US. We wish it was because of the fantastic drive quality alongside its status as one of the best sports cars around today.

7 Honda E

The Honda E was released in 2020. It is fully electric and it is also Honda's first ever-mass produced EV. This is great considering how the future is looking with EVs. It has good performance too, with a 152 bhp option being available. Being filled with technology is great, and it is intended as a city car as the range isn't high.

Sadly, this isn't available in America. It is disappointing because, despite the high cost to buy a Honda E, it is a fun car that many are coming to love already. It would have been a great way to see how EVs like this one would be taken to in the US cities.

6 Honda S660

 Honda S660

Launched in 2015, the Honda S660 is often considered to somewhat be a successor to the Honda S2000 and has a lot in common with the Honda Beat. It is a tiny vehicle and it is a Kei car. The car gets its name from the three-cylinder 660 ccs. Unsurprisingly, it isn't very powerful, with 63 bhp being its output, but it still a fantastic vehicle that is truly fun to drive.

The S660 is sold in the Japanese market only. It is a great car and its lightness is only an added bonus for those who want to purchase a tiny little vehicle like this one. The US market is definitely missing out on a fun car that should be enjoyed for what it is.

5 Renault Megane RS Trophy

Launched in 2018, Renault equipped a new 1.8-liter engine into the Megane RS Trophy, which is also shared with the Alpine A110. Handling is improved and it is by far one of the best Megane RS generations to date. The Trophy edition of the Megane RS is boosted in terms of power and speed. The 300 edition features power that is boosted to 296 bhp and can go 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds.

The car is not available in the US. We sure wish it was because it has great performance and is fantastically engineered by Renault. The hardcore Trophy RS variant currently holds the Nurburgring FWD lap record so it's clearly a great hatchback.

4 Lotus Exige

The Lotus Exige is not offered in the US. The new editions that were revealed in 2021 are no exception. Right at the top of the range is the Exige Cup 430 Final Edition, which has 430 bhp. The V6 supercharged engine is brilliant and the car is exceptionally fast.

However, with the Exige slowly being discontinued, the availability of the car is lessening. Owing to a limited budget, Lotus decided not to homologate the Exige or the Elise in its current state for US production. This is disappointing as the new cars especially are shaping up to be absolutely fantastic.

3 Mercedes Benz A45 S AMG 2019

The Mercedes Benz A45 S AMG 2019 is brilliant. It has 415 bhp and is a fantastic drift car. Aiding its performance is also a power boost that reflects how cool the S version of the A45 AMG is. The car goes 0-60 mph in under 4 seconds, making it extremely quick, and is definitely one for those who enjoy a lot of speed and a lot of power - which is definitely reflective of an AMG.

Sadly, the car isn't available in the US. We're definitely upset about this one because its impressive credentials are by far some of the coolest that we have seen in an AMG. The intelligent design of the A45 S AMG is fantastic and we're extremely jealous of those who can legally buy one.

2 Ford Puma ST 2020

The Ford Puma ST is one of the best-handling compact SUV cars that are available on the market. It is based on the Fiesta, and Ford manages to do well when putting this package into a compact SUV. It is both practical and fast (but not as fast as the Fiesta ST). It is brilliantly engineered, as expected in a Ford.

The Puma isn't available in the US because its powertrain and underpinnings aren't certified in America. It really is disappointing because the car has a lot of credentials that make it truly fantastic and many in Europe are loving the ST treatment on the Puma.

1 Mitsubishi Delica

The Mitsubishi Delica received a 2019 facelift. It brings the car up to date with the new decade and increased the general technology of the Delica. The minivan looks extremely modern and the infotainment system is a great reflection of the "Dynamic Shield" design of Mitsubishi. It is a fun minivan that many have come to love.

Sadly, the Delica isn't available in the US. This is disappointing with the rich history of the Delica and its success in the Japanese market. We wish it was available in the US because it would easily be a great seller as it is big enough for many people as well as being technologically updated to keep up with the times.
