Texans were treated to a preview of the new Midnight and Rally editions of the 2020 Silverado 1500. Shown for the first time at the State Fair, the popular pickups offer something for both urban and off-road truck drivers.

The 2020 Silverado 1500 Midnight Edition is available on the LT Trail Boss and Custom Trail Boss trims and adds a more rugged feel to the off-road truck. The Midnight Edition displays an all-black look, with black 18-inch wheels, badges, grille, bumpers, exhaust tips, steps, and the iconic bowtie. The recovery hooks remain the same in bright red.

The LT Trail Boss Midnight Edition is powered by a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that delivers 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque and features a 10-speed automatic transmission. This trim also includes high-intensity LED headlamps with dark bezels and daytime running lights. The Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss Midnight Edition comes in the 5.3-liter V-8 engine and the six-speed automatic or the 6.2-liter V-8 with the 10-speed.

The Silverado 1500 Rally Edition is the more urban pickup. The special edition is available on the Custom and RST trims in Black, Red Hot, Silver Ice Metallic, or Summit White. Like the Silverado RST, the Rally Edition maintains the body-colored grille but features black stripes on the hood and tailgate, black badging, black bowties, black exhaust tips, black assist steps, and black Chevrolet lettering on the tailgate. The RST Rally Edition includes black 22-inch wheels, while the Custom Rally Edition comes with black 20-inch wheels.

Both Rally editions are available with the 2.7-liter turbo-four engine with an eight-speed automatic, however, the RST Rally Edition is also offered in the 5.3-liter V-8 or the 6.2-liter V-8. The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado Midnight and Rally editions will be available to order next month and will arrive in showrooms later this year. Pricing will be announced soon.
