When Nissan unveiled the first version of the 2019 Titan it was not really what everyone expected, it was just an average truck without any “wow” factor. But the automaker unveiled a number of upgrades to the 2019 Nissan Titan and Titan XD models during the State Fair of Texas. The upgrades included a new premium audio system, touchscreen, and safety technology fitted into the trucks.

According to MSN, the seven-inch touchscreen audio and IT display now come standard on the truck previously it was a premium upgrade. The display is compatible with Apple CarPlay, Andriod Auto and Nissan’s exclusive NissanConnect systems. Nissan also took the opportunity to add in USB media and charge ports for the front and backseat passengers. The premium Fender Audio System that features a 485-watt, nine-channel amplifier with Panasonic’s proprietary Acoustic Motion Control.

Nissan also added the Rear Door Alert which is now a standard feature on all King Cab, Crew Cab Titan, and Titan XD models, this was previously a premium upgrade. The system uses the truck's door sensors, horn, and message display to aid drivers during parking and to remind the drivers to check the backseats after the truck is parked.

The trucks also got exterior upgrades, Nissan announced that they will come in two colors Moab Sunset and Midnight Pine. There is also a special Midnight Edition Package which comes with a custom package from the factory. The package includes a body-color front grille with dark insert, dark headlamps, black fog lamp finisher, black exterior badging, black interior trim, black mirrors, black door handles, 20-inch black wheels, body-color front, and rear bumpers, black step rails, and "Midnight Edition" exterior badge.

The 2019 Titan is available in a full range of rugged 1/2-ton models, including Single Cab, King Cab, and Crew Cab body configurations in 4x2 and 4x4 drive. The truck comes packed with a 5.6L V-8 producing 390 horsepower it also has a seven-speed automatic transmission. The Titan XD lineup comes in different variants which include Crew Cab, King Cab, and Single Cab body styles with two-bed lengths and a choice of a Cummins 5.0L V-8 Turbodiesel or Nissan 5.6L V-8 engine. The 2019 Titan XD has a larger capacity DEF tank and a new gooseneck hitch which comes with a plug inside the bed for easy towing.
