The upcoming official launch of the 2023 Nissan Z is getting real as fansite New Nissan Z forum reveals an insider document with a production timeline and other key dates. A Tennessee Nissan dealer employee posted the document. Most significantly, the assembly of the seventh-generation Nissan Z will begin in a matter of weeks (in March).

The automaker’s schedule includes an April timeframe for media first drives followed by a Nissan North America field meeting in May. According to the document, dealer access to ordering begins in June, and consumers can expect to see an onslaught of marketing efforts starting in August. Nissan’s recent Super Bowl ad touted its new sports car (and the Ariya EV) to whet appetites ahead of forthcoming advertising.

Notably, Nissan has been tight-lipped about the Z’s timing until recently. Undoubtedly, supply-chain issues have thrown many automakers’ plans into disarray. Earlier this month, Nissan teased “Spring 2022” availability. So, June ordering isn’t too far off the mark (the first day of Summer is June 21).
