The McLaren Senna is the most powerful road-going supercar the British carmaker has created so far. With 789 hp (800 PS) of max ouptut, 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) and a lightweight, aerodynamic design, the Senna is the best McLaren you can bring to the road.
There is, however, another McLaren that does a better job – a Senna tuned by Novitec. Brand ambassador Bijon De Kock makes a quick review of the Novitec-tuned Senna in the latest episode of its "Supercar Diaries" series.
Not Normal
To take the Senna to greater heights as it did with the McLaren GT, Novitec is offering to boost its current power by performance kits with a new plug-and-play Novitec N-TRONIC module that remaps the injection and ignition while modifying electronic boost pressure control. The second stage kit tunes the Novitec McLaren Senna to 890 hp (902 PS) of max output and 655 lb-ft of peak torque.
With this amount of power on hand, Novitec's Senna can cut the 0 to 62 mph sprint time from 2.8 seconds to 2.7 seconds, and its 0 to 200 mph performance from 6.8 seconds to 6.5 seconds. While taking the Senna for a quick spin, De Kock can't help but say, "It's not normal!"
New Exhaust System, New Wheels
Novitec decided to leave the Senna's bodywork and active aerodynamics untouched – McLaren already did a great job in making the supercar as light as possible. Novitec, however, is offering MC3 high-end alloy center-lock wheels measuring 20 inches on the front and 21 inches on the rear. These seven twin-spoke rims can be availed in any of the 72 different colors!
The tuner is also offering to install its own exhaust system. This Novitec Race GTR high-performance exhaust system – made from ultralight material Inconel used in F1 racing – features two 95-mm top-exit exhaust pipes, available in a polished stainless or matte black finish. The sweet growl of this exhaust is definitely one of the video's highlights.
Customized Interior
When a supercar like a McLaren Senna gets boosted by a sports car tuner such as Novitec, the result is a mouth-watering drive. The price of the tuning kit wasn't disclosed in the video, but interested clients can always contact Novitec for inquiries.
