Ferrari is undoubtedly one of the most popular car manufacturers in the world. This Italian company was founded in 1947 in Maranello Italy by Enzo Ferrari. Over the years, the company has introduced the world to some of the most intriguing sports cars.

Since its inception, Ferrari has always strived to build high-performance sports cars and supercars. Ten years ago, Ferrari announced the opening of its Special Projects Division. This division is dedicated to building cars for Ferrari’s rich and wealthy clients.

Most of the cars that are built-in The Special Project Division are one-off special edition cars. These cars are not only an embodiment of class and style but of power too. Here are ten one-off Ferraris we can only dream of.

10 Ferrari SP12 EC

The Ferrari SP12 EC was commission by Eric Clapton. Clapton is a long-time Ferrari client who is known for his vast collection of Ferraris, among other exotic cars.

Being a die-hard enthusiast of the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer, Clapton commissioned Ferrari to build him a bespoke ride based on his all-time favorite Ferrari. This build cost Eric Clapton at least $4.7 million. The Ferrari SP12 EC was powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine that produced 562 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque.

9 Ferrari 458 MM Speciale

With this in mind, you understand why the Ferrari 458 MM Speciale stirred a huge controversy. Ferrari unveiled this beauty in 2016 and the first thing that struck many enthusiasts and critics was how much it resembled the Ford GT. This one-off ride is based on the 458 Speciale. It also features subtle design features from the 488 GTB and the 288 GTO.

8 Ferrari F12 TRS

The Ferrari F12 TRS was designed in-house by Ferrari. This ride was based on the F12 Berlinetta. This ride featured the iconic Barchetta signature open-top that was inspired by the 1957 250 Testa Rossa.

It is reported that this car was commissioned by a long-time Ferrari client who is also a collector. This customer requested a pair of the Ferrari F12 TRS to be built. Despite these cars being privately owned, Ferrari displays them occasionally at car shows. One of the latest sightings of this car was at the Goodwood Festival of speed.

7 Ferrari Fioravanti SP1

The Ferrari Fioravanti SP1 was one of the many one-off special edition cars that Ferrari has built for Kazuo Maruyama over the years. Kazuo Maruyama is an affluent and influential Japanese businessman. Maruyama has been a long-time Ferrari customer and judging by his car collection, it is safe to say that Kazuo Maruyama is a true Ferrari enthusiast.

The Ferrari Fioravanti SP1 is based on the 1988 Fioravanti F100 concept car. The 1988 Fioravanti was the inspiration for the Ferrari F430 Special Edition. Kazuo Maruyama’s ride was a replica of the car that it was based on with very little details changed on the body.

6 Ferrari P4/5

The Ferrari P4/5 or as it is known the Ferrari PF/5 by Pininfarina was commissioned by James Glickenhaus. Glickenhaus is an affluent film director, stock exchange magnate, and entrepreneur.

The Ferrari P4/5 is based on the underpinnings of the Ferrari Enzo. The design of this car is a reflection of the 1960s P-Series race cars. Glickenhaus bought the Ferrari Enzo that formed the underpinnings of this car and had it delivered to Ferrari. After the project was completed, Glickenhaus had spent approximately $4,000,000 on this car. It is rumored that a member of the Saudi royal family offered to buy the Ferrari P4/5 for $40,000,000 but Glickenhaus turned him down.

5 Ferrari SP 275 RW Competizione

The Ferrari SP 275 RW Competizione is one of the many unique cars owned by Rick Workman. In his collection, Rick Workman has the Ferrari 288 GTO, F40, F50, the Ferrari Enzo, and the original 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione.

As you might have guessed, his Ferrari SP 275 RW Competizione, is based on the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione. This special edition ride is powered by a 6.3-liter V12 engine that pushes 769 horsepower at 8,500 rpm. Its bright yellow paint job was done in honor of the Ecurie Francorchamps 275GTB that won the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans in the GT class.

4 Ferrari SP America

The Ferrari SP America was commission by American business mogul Danny Wegman. This build was based on the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Its design on the other hand was largely influenced by the Ferrari 250 GTO.

This ride features a front bumper that is donned with trapezoidal vents. A triple hood scoop is visible on the car’s hood, and an aggressive rear lip was added to add to this car’s character. The Ferrari SP America is powered by a 6.3-liter V12 engine that produces 729 horsepower and delivers 508lb-ft of torque.

3 Ferrari SP38 "Deborah"

The Ferrari SP38 “Deborah” was built in honor of Debora Mayer. Deborah is a Corse Clienti racer and a Ferrari ambassador. The Ferrari SP38 was based on the Ferrari F40. This prancing horse boasted of a 3.9-liter turbo V8 engine that is paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission.

This engine had a power output of 660 horsepower. All this power is pushed to the car’s rear-wheel-drive drivetrain. This ride features a unique rear decklid that looks exactly like the one on the Ferrari F40. After this build was complete, Deborah took it for a spin at the Fiorano circuit.

2 Ferrari SP3JC

The Ferrari SP3JC is one of the latest one-off creations to leave the company’s Special Program Division. This beauty is said to have been commissioned by John Collins, a classic Ferrari dealer and a big fan of Pop Art.

This ride was commissioned in 2018. The Ferrari SP3JC is a combination of the Ferrari F12dr and the 812 Superfast. This one-off ride features a “Bianco Italia” blue leather interior. The exterior of this car features an “Azzuro Met” and “Giallo Modena” livery. It also boasts of a beastly natural aspirated V12 engine under its hood.

1 Ferrari Superamerica 45

The Ferrari Superamerica 45 was commissioned by New York real estate mogul Peter Kalikow. This ride was commissioned before Ferrari set up its Special Program Division. Peter Kalikow commissioned this car to celebrate the 45th anniversary of when he bought his first Ferrari, the 1961 Ferrari 400 Superamerica. This one-off special edition car was based on Kalikow’s first Ferrari, which was inspired by the Ferrari 599 SA Aperta.
