Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, long-term development schedules mean carmakers have been unstoppable in making new launches in 2020. Likewise, famous automotive YouTubers – like Doug DeMuro -- have also been relentless in their car reviews. Thanks to the fact that DeMuro reviewed over 120 vehicles in 2020, he was able to determine which of these are the best and the worst. For that, he created the Doug Awards. Here are the winners for 2020.

Most Expensive And Most Valuable Car In 2020

First is the “Doug Is The Type Of Guy” Award, which is given the vehicle that has piqued DeMuro's interest the most. It's basically the vehicle he really wanted to see, and for this year, it was the Oldsmobile Silhouette.  Did we mention, the candidates didn't have to be new cars, or even surviving brands?

Next is the "Most Expensive Car Of The Year Award." The costliest car that DeMuro reviewed in 2020 was the Bugatti Divo, which sells at between $6 million and $8 million give or take a few Ferrari Romas.

If there's the most expensive car, there's also a vehicle that DeMuro thinks gives the best value for your money. So, the "Bargain Of The Year Award" for 2020 went to Porsche Panamera S.  "Bargain" has always been a relative term.

Meanwhile, the McLaren P1 GTR was DeMuro's "Biggest Surprise Of The Year" awardee. This award is given to the vehicle that really didn't excite DeMuro prior to filming but nonetheless totally blew his mind during taping.

For the "Worst Car Of The Year Award," nothing could beat the Fisker Karma. DeMuro fell short of describing the Karma as the personification of failure. He did call it a nightmare, though.

Meanwhile, the "Video Of The Year" goes to the car of which the review video was the most meaningful for DeMuro, and this distinction went to the Ford Bronco Sport. The video proved that YouTube can be a place where carmakers can connect with the audience.

As for the "Quirkiest Car Of The Year," the award went to the Honda S2000 used in the Fast and Furious film. It has so many quirks that DeMuro found it to be bizarre.

The most coveted award "The Doug Of The Year" went to the Chevrolet C8 Corvette. The sports car was incredibly hyped before its arrival, yet managed to live up to the hype. In fact, DeMuro considered the C8 Corvette as the hottest car of the year right when he reviewed it.
