To celebrate its 50th anniversary, a new take on the Chrysler Valiant Pacer, the 300 SRT Pacer, will be taking to the streets for a limited edition run in Australia in 2020. The vehicle is expected to have an exterior build that Pacer drivers love and recognize and a boosted version of the original engine under the hood, providing more power than ever.

When the Pacer originally emerged it was supported by a 3.7L engine with a 3-speed manual gearbox, which was strange since V8 vehicles were at the top of the market at the time. The new engine will give drivers exactly what they want with a 6.4L Hemi V8 engine with 8-speed automatic transmission and what it takes to get up to 469 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.

Fans of the Pacer may remember the prominent black stripe and intense color selection originally available for the Pacer. Luckily, the 50th anniversary edition will stay true to its good looks. It will still offer the special yellow body coloring as well as red stripes along the wheel edges to compliment the iconic black racing stripe down the sides.

Following in the footsteps of the famed 1969 Valiant Pacer, the 50th anniversary edition Pacer is sure to keep the appetite of car enthusiasts sated for at least a short while. Those interested in getting their hands on one of these models should prepare a game plan soon, as the vehicle will have a very limited run during 2020 that is only available in Australia.
