Pagani may have created an incredible Hypercar with the Huayra, letting the world know that it is actually possibly to improve on perfection and now, they have possibly outdone themselves again with the Roadster version of the already outstanding Huayra supercar.

Although it's not without its shortcomings, given the cars' purpose as a performance vehicle, they shouldn't be too much of an issue with anyone lucky enough to even afford the car in question. Overall, the car is an exceptional piece of automotive engineering and a car that may even go down in history. Below are some things we now know about Pagani's Huayra Roadster.

10 Power

Typically, from Pagani, the Huayra Roadster is no slouch, this is down to the monumental Mercedes-AMG 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 giving the Roadster 754 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque.

If the regular Huayra is anything to go by, the Roadster should be just as ridiculous, and helping put all of that power to good use is a seven speed transmission.

9 Price

Now, Pagani's have never been cheap. As a manufacturer looking to rival the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Koenigsegg in its performance and rival manufacturers like Aston Martin and Bentley in its quality, the Roadster is particularly expensive to say the least.

With an MSRP of $2.6 million, it is definitely one of the more luxurious car purchases one could ever hope to make. However, despite the price, there is a whole lot of car on display here and although the Roadsters price is hard to justify, the quality and performance cannot be argued with.

8 Rarity

Perhaps pushing the price of the car in the less desirable direction is the rarity. The Pagani cars are already especially rare and, the Roadster is one of the rarest of them all.

This is partly down to an agreement with Mercedes-Benz, who provide the monstrous V12 we talked about earlier. The deal consists of Mercedes only agreeing to supply 100 engines to Pagani in order to be put in the Huayra cars, meaning they were limited to a small production run.

7 Weight

As the Roadster is, of course that, a Roadster, extra attention has to be put into making the car as light as possible. This is because whenever a car loses its roof, some of the structural integrity goes along with it, meaning the car adds a few pounds in order to keep its rigidity.

Despite all of this, Pagani have managed to make the Roadster weigh a relatively little 2,822 lbs, the exact same weight as a Hyundai Veloster which of course doesn't have a 6-liter V12. Even more surprising is that this car weighs less than the Coupé, which is relatively unheard of in almost any cases of Roadster editions.

6 Exterior Visuals

The Pagani cars have always looked incredible. No other manufacturer in the world comes close to matching the visuals of the Pagani vehicles, and the Roadster is a great example of their unorthodox design.

Some of the best touches are the dashes of carbon fiber around the exterior and the classic Pagani quad-tailpipe exhaust. Some slight changes have been made to the body in order to accommodate the lack of roof, however the resemblance is still there to the Huayra coupé.

5 Speed And Performance

As expected, the performance of the Huayra Roadster is up there with some of the best hypercars of the planet. Although it should be noted that despite a slight power increase over the coupé, the Roadster has a slightly lower top speed.

Having said that, the Roadster is still capable of achieving a 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds all the way to a top speed of 210 mph. But where this car performs best is in the corners, down to improved aerodynamic tweaking.

4 BC Variant

Pagani forever wanting to outdo themselves have since introduced a BC variant of the Huayra and Huayra Roadster. This shares the same basic aerodynamic structure as the BC and has an increased power output of 789 hp.

This time, the BC Roadster is slightly heavier than the coupe, restoring some normality. However, despite this, it still manages to weigh 66 lb less than the standard Huayra roadster.

3 Roadster Upgrades

Going back into the weight and body of the Huayra Roadster, we find a carbon-titanium frame combined with a new material developed specifically for the Roadster. This adds an increase of around 52% in overall stiffness and an upgrade in terms of rigidity.

Another upgrade specific to the Roadster is seen on the brakes and wheels. Pagani used Brembo brakes with a new carbon ceramic implant, giving the Roadster the most advanced brake calipers Brembo have ever created. The Roadster specific wheels are wrapped in Pirelli PZero Corsa tires developed specifically for the Roadster, helping give 1.8 g of lateral force and a lower rolling resistance.

2 Interior And Tech

The interior is where we see the Roadster get somehow even more luxurious. Leather, titanium, and carbon fiber are plentiful in the Roadster, with exquisitely designed components helping it justify its price somewhat.

However, the Roadsters lack of tech features is somewhat disappointing. All the basics are there, as well as a touchscreen to control some settings and a high quality audio system, but on the whole pales in comparison to even entry level cars from Mercedes.

1 Fuel Efficiency And Practicality

The Huayra Roadster is quite possibly one of the least practical cars of all time. It's a shame to end on a slightly sour note given how incredible the rest of the car is however, it has to be mentioned as it is still a road car and even the grandest of them all require a certain level of practicality.

Fuel efficiency is pretty poor. With a combined estimate of around 13 mpg you aren't getting very far on a single tank, this of course comes with the territory of a 6-liter V12. The storage areas on the Roadster are almost non-existent and could maybe fit one small bag if you pack lightly. Again, this is of course not what the car was made to do, although other cars in a similar category to this can provide just a little more practicality on the whole.
