In 2010, supercar company Pagani created their first celebration of national pride in the Zonda Tricolore. That car was set at a price of $1.6 million and only three were ever made. Now, ten years later, Pagani has made yet another super-limited ultra high-performance model to celebrate the same thing: the Huayra Tricolore.

Celebrating 60 Years Of Frecce Tricolori

Pagani isn't exactly known for subtlety, and they once again have made it blaringly obvious in the best way. Starting with the famed Tricolore flight group, we watch them train and prepare for their flight. As they do so, the feeling of being watched grows, as if something is ready to jump as soon as it gets the chance. As the last plane leaves it's hangar, the headlights flash on and the twin turbo V12 roars to life. It’s appropriate considering this car celebrates 60 years of Frecce Tricolori, the Italian Air Force's aerobatic demonstration team.

A $6.7 Million Supercar

As the car rockets into a drift from the hangar, the planes line up for their maneuvering run, running full smoke out of them from the rear. Running alongside them, the Huayra drifts, slides, and roars around the airfield. At $6.7 million, the 840-horsepower engine screams through any setting making a bold statement of what it is: Italian pride
