The track-only Pagani Zonda Revolución is an even more aggressive version of the fabled Zonda R. Churning out 800 horsepower from its AMG V12, it serves as a powerful and lightweight example of Pagani engineering. With its various features, the Revolución outperformed the standard Zonda, and just 5 were produced by the company.

Although it was released back in 2013, its impressive statistics can still be appreciated today. Its performance, along with its one-of-a-kind design, makes it an intriguing track car. Here’s a more in-depth look at the Zonda Revolución and its specifics.

The powerplant of choice for the Zonda Revolución is an M120, a performance-tuned V12 made by Mercedes-Benz/AMG. Along with its 800 horsepower at 8000rpm, it makes 538 lb-ft of torque at 5800rpm. The engine has a bore and stroke of 89 mm and 80.2 mm, respectively. The exhaust system is fabricated from ceramic coated, hydroformed Inconel.

Rather than using electronic throttle control, the single throttle bodies are mechanically actuated. An Xtrac 672 gearbox with a magnesium casing is paired to a 6-speed sequential transmission. The Revolución sports performance figures of 0-62mph in a mere 2.6 seconds and a top speed of more than 217mph.

“We knew it would be very difficult to design and build a car that was even more extreme”, said Horacio Pagani, “But thanks to the creativity of our designers, engineers, and the whole Pagani family, we created a beautiful object, and the fastest Pagani vehicle ever”, he said of the Revolución.

The wheels on the Revolución are sized at 19” in the front and 20” in the rear. These forged alloy wheels are enveloped by Pirelli P Zero tires made specifically for the Revolución. Brakes are provided by Brembo, with F1-inspired CCMR discs. According to Pagani, these brakes have provided a 15% weight reduction along with increased strength.

Suspension arms are forged with Avional, a composite alloy that combines aluminum, copper, and magnesium. Adjustable Öhlins shocks were standard on this variant of the Zonda.

Bosch Motorsport provides a 12-stage traction control to optimize handling on varied surfaces. The rear-wheel-drive Revolución also employs a self-locking differential. For aerodynamic athleticism, Pagani implements a Drag Reduction System (DRS) that can be controlled from the steering wheel.

The monocoque itself is constructed from carbon and titanium, with the engine being a load-bearing part of the chassis. Carbon fiber is used throughout along with a chromium-molybdenum space frame and roll cage. Overall, the dimensions are measured at 4886mm in length, 2014mm in width and 1141mm in height, with a total dry weight of just 2358 pounds.
