As you probably know, Paris Hilton is always in the spotlight. This time with a customized pink Bentley. As we all know, she’s a huge car fan, and she wanted to have something unique as always. So, West Coast Customs worked on tricking out Hilton's Bentley sports car to create something of her dreams. And after being under the spotlight, this is what we found out about her pink ride.
The Bentley Continental GT
The Bentley Continental GT is a luxury grand tourer produced by Bentley Motors Limited in the United Kingdom. It is the first production car to be fitted with a W12 engine. Bentley announced the Continental GT in 2002 and production started in 2003. It is sold in North America as the Bentley Continental GT and in most other markets simply as the Bentley GT. The Continental GT has always been a major player in the luxury car market and has done exceptionally well competing against its main rival, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
Currently, the Continental GT comes equipped with a 6.0-liter W12 engine that produces 542 horsepower and will go from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 198 mph! That is not bad for a sedan that weighs over 5,000 lbs!
The Continentals feature some of the best technology currently available, like satellite navigation, touchscreen infotainment system, WiFi hot spot, adaptive cruise control, self-parking sensors, blind-spot warning system (BSW), rear traffic alert, and more luxury features.
Paris Hilton’s Customized Continental GT
Paris Hilton shows her personality with her 2009 model pink Bentley Continental GT. She gifted herself this customized unique car in 2008 when the global recession was dipping individuals and industries. Estimates put the value of the Bentley over $150,000 back in 2006. Her childhood craving for a pink car could not make her mind the recession.
Buying the 2009 model Bentley Continental GT, painted in pink, was a yearning met and a childhood dream fulfilled for Paris Hilton. She is a long-time fan of Barbie and gifting herself a pink Bentley is her way of saying out loud.
"I have just always wanted a pink car. I think when you're a little girl, and you have the Barbie Corvette, you're always like, 'Oh, I wish I had a car like this one day,'" she said. "I think it just comes from being a fan of Barbie for so long," she added.
A West Coast Custom With Diamonds
Paris Hilton may have met her yearning with a pink Bentley, but she wanted more. She wanted the car firm's headquarters in Crewe to serve her a more exquisite meal of the car. Through one of her aides, she contacted the Bentley firm to customize a $200,000 diamond-encrusted dashboard for her pink baby.
Paris in a pink Bentley customized by West Coast Customs comes with a more elegant Barbie look. The hood of the car has Paris's initials engraved on it. The pink wheel rim is also inscribed with the same rhinestones. The car's diamond-encrusted dashboard comes with a pink-over-black blend. The car gear is also laced with rhinestones. The media claims she lavished about $280,000 for the customization.
