Barrett-Jackson has a reputation for its auctions, many of which see collectible cars cross the block on a regular basis. On Saturday, the auctioneer announced the sale of the legendary Toyota Supra from the Fast and Furious movies. The announcement from the auction house came through a post on its Twitter account.

What Is The Story Of Toyota Supra From Fast And Furious?

Fast and Furious was released in 2001, and with that introduced the world to American tuned cars that were being upgraded to compete in illegal street races. Later, a series of films were launched, which became crazier and crazier, until, in the ninth part of this movie masterpiece, the Pontiac Fiero with a rocket engine went into space. In the first parts of the film, the main star of the film was Brian O'Connor, played by actor Paul Walker and his character drove a souped up 1994 Toyota Supra.

Interestingly, the Japanese car first appeared in the initital part, and two years later it was noticed in the second. There, it was repainted and the wheels were changed, but later everything was returned to the original version.

Eddie Paul of the Shark Shop in El Segundo, California, USA, built this car for the film. The careful work on the car turned it into a golden Supra in the second part of the film.

The iconic Supra has a Candy Orange pearlescent body paint taken from the Italian Lamborghini Diablo, as well as marks on the sides known as the "Nuclear Gladiator." The body kit includes a Bomex front spoiler, a TRD-style hood, APR aluminum two-piece rear wing, and 19-inch five-spoke wheels.

Under the hood, this car has a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, but motor power is not reported. The most interesting thing is that this Supra appeared in many scenes of the film, so you've likely seen its interior and exterior on TV.

“Driven by actor Paul Walker and featured in two of "The Fast and Furious" films, this 1994 Toyota Supra proved to be an icon of car culture," was written in a post about selling a car.

The auction, which ran from June 17 to June 19, did not set a starting price for this lot. As a result, Supra was sold for $550,000. The buyer received the complete vehicle documentation and a certificate of authenticity.
