The Pininfarina Karma GT Will Debut At The Upcoming Monterey Car Week

Karma Automotive, a luxury electric car brand based in Irvine, California, will debut the Pininfarina Karma GT at Monterey Car Week, which runs from August 9 until August 18. The Pininfarina GT concept is a coupe with an all-electric powertrain that is based on the Karma Revero, a premium plug-in hybrid luxury sports sedan.

"Pebble Beach is the definitive luxury automotive event of the year," says John Maloney, Karma's Chief Revenue Officer. "For a pioneering challenger like Karma, our presence at Pebble Beach sets the tone for our brand on the global luxury stage."

First introduced at the 2019 Shanghai auto show, the Pininfarina Karma GT is a range-extender luxury electric hybrid coupe. Karma's partnership with Pininfarina, the legendary Italian design and engineering house, was revealed in January. Karma hopes the collaboration will help them advance next-generation technology and product development as they continue to expand their product range.

According to Giuseppe Bonollo, Pininfarina Sales & Marketing Director, Karma’s presence at Monterey Car Week will showcase the brand’s design expertise, which is evident in their customized luxury vehicles. The designers stripped away the rear two doors of the Revero and added an entirely new, all-electric drivetrain. The automaker hopes the stylish electric GT will be valued by Pebble Beach collectors.

The Pininfarina-designed concept car will be unveiled in Monterey along with the new 2020 Karma Revero GT, offering guests the chance to test drive the new luxury electric vehicle. The Karma GT reflects the essence of Pininfarina and Karma in its commitment to design. The concept car features the distinctive structure of the 2020 Revero GT along with a restyled exterior.

Karma Automotive, founded in 2015, designs, engineers, and markets luxury electric vehicles. Committed to enhancing the luxury experience for drivers, the company is well-known for the Karma Revero, a luxury EV powered by twin electric motors, which is designed and manufactured at the Karma Innovation and Customization Center in Moreno Valley, California.
