The year 2021 marks Porsche’s 20th year in the Chinese market, having entered it back in 2001 which was quite late compared to some companies. Being a significant milestone, it only seemed fitting that, at the Shanghai Auto Show, the company marked the occasion. Porsche has revealed the 911 Turbo S China 20th Anniversary Edition, which is certainly an exciting way of marking an anniversary when the company could have done something much more mundane.

This Package Is Purely A Cosmetic Makeover For The Turbo S

The package on offer doesn’t change any of the specs of the 911 Turbo S but does offer quite an attractive cosmetic redesign of the car. Available to order now, the car is finished in the promotional shots in an Oslo Blue but according to a report from Motor Colombia, the special edition is to be made available in four other colors as well which are Gulf Orange, Star Ruby Red, Mint Green, and Viola Purple. These are all classic heritage colors of the Porsche brand, but the cosmetic changes don’t just stop there.

Across the rest of the car, a custom livery has been applied with striping all over and a huge number 20 that is displayed on the door of the car. Below that, the Porsche name is present with a white line stripe on either side. A central stripe runs all the way across the car through the hood, across the roof, and onto the rear wing. There is also an emblem along the door sills to say this is the 20th-anniversary Turbo S China edition, as well as badges on the center pillars of the door as well as one on the dash of the car.

The 20th Anniversary Edition Is A China Only Porsche

Being a cosmetic-only change, this means nothing has been done to change the performance of the car. So it is still powered by the same 650 hp Turbo engine with its 200 + mph top speed but that performance is probably already good enough for those who are going to buy the car. Unsurprisingly, the car is only available in China so this probably isn’t a car you are going to see in North America, at least not for a long time.
