One thing that's incredibly impressive about electric cars is the crazy torque they produce. More accurately, the instant torque that comes from EVs as you put your foot down. It's a blessing in a way, as you get that power instantly and you just launch away at the lights. However, that power does come with some drawbacks. On a wet road, or just in a car with insane power, it can get you in hot water; it can also hurt you if you simply have no idea what you are doing. That's where this video comes in.
Porsche Taycan Hits Two Parked Cars
We genuinely are not sure what is going on here. Just watch for yourself in the footage, and we are sure you will feel the same way. This footage shows a neighborhood in the UK, in perhaps an oddly laid out driveway but still, that has no role at all in this accident. Now, there could be a medical reason behind this accident and hopefully that it's actually the case.
The driver seems to just put his foot down way too hard, and then the Taycan launches itself up the driveway. It then veers to the right and takes out what is probably a fairly expensive SV in the neighboring driveway, before deciding it doesn’t like what appears to be a blue BMW parked on the road below. The Taycan launches itself into the BMW with brute force and is perched above the sidewalk, and nestled nicely into the BMW. When one considers that the Taycan 4S can go 0-60 mph in 3.8s, just imagine two helpless cars in its path.

Hopefully this is just a lapse of concentration rather than a medical issue. Perhaps the instant torque is to blame. You would simply pull up in first gear in a gas or diesel car. Maybe the owner of the Taycan, a fantastic electric car in its own right, has only just taken delivery of it and was just not expecting all of that power up what is, in fairness, a rather steep driveway.
