Hoonigan’s most famous YouTube series might well be This vs That. In this series, they take two very different and very cool performance cars to see how they stack up against each other. And they usually have crazy levels of horsepower as well.

In this epic contest, they have brought their own Fast and Furious inspired 2JZ powered Ford F-150 to the track, while the other car is Hoonigan’s own Zac and his 572 ci Big Block Chevrolet K5 Jimmy.

The Frightening And The Jimmy

The Ford F-150 has the nickname The Frightening, and the specs certainly live up to that name. The 2JZ is something else, with a 2JZ and a Garrett turbo, and it makes around 500 hp. Less than the Jimmy, but it's certainly a smaller vehicle. And the guys show a picture of the truck when they had it, and needless to say, it's been through quite a transformation. The 1978 Jimmy, on the other hand, has a 572 ci Chevy engine, and while it is a daily driver, it does have a staggering 700 hp. And it does require quite a lot of gas. But how do they stack up?

Getting Down To The Drag Races

Most of the Hoonigan guys think Zac will win the races, but how does it actually go? Well, in round one, a traditional 1,000 ft head to head, it is The Frightening who takes home the win despite a slight jump start for the F-150 that saw it bog down.

And it was an ultra-close contest. So for the second round, the two cars line up for round two, which is a 500 ft race with Zac getting the hit. And Zac this time, despite it looking sketchy, is able to beat the F-150 to the line.

All To Play For In The Best Of Three

Suppy who is driving the F-150 definitely messed up shifting, and so round three is another 500 ft head-to-head, but this time with a standard start for both cars. It is Zac who once again takes the win, to give the Jimmy the overall win. For a bonus round, Suppy is then swapped out for Dan in the F-150 for another 500 ft head-to-head with Zac, but it changes nothing as Zac wins again to show just how mighty the Jimmy is.
