While much of the country is still in some sort of lockdown, racing has come back resulting in a Saturday full of action across several different motorsports series. The day started in Australia with Supercars, moving with the sun to the US with NASCAR races for the Xfinity and Craftsman Truck series at the Texas Motor Speedway that would have turned into a double day of wins for Kyle Busch except for some after the flag issues. IMSA and Indy Racing completed the day of fast driving at Sebring and Iowa respectively. Let's check out the day's events.

Kyle Busch was looking for his 98th Xfinity win in the My Bariatric Solutions 300 race and appeared to have it after he took the checkered flag. An hour later, however, scrutineers removed that win after the car failed to pass the post-race tech inspection. That gave the win to Austin Cindric who has won the previous two races. Busch was able to make it up by winning the following Craftsman Truck series race.

IMSA also brought sports car racing back for a second race since the shutdown with a sprint race at the famed Sebring track where the 12 Hours of Sebring was set to take place before the lockdown delayed the event. Cadillac held tight to the top three spots in DPi with the team of Felipe Nasr and Pipo Darini leading from pole and a last minute pass giving third spot on the podium to Sebastian Bourdais and Joao Barbosa in the JDC Motorsports Cadillac.

LMP2 mirrored the drama at NASCAR with apparent winners Henrick Hedman and Gustavo Menedes of DragonSpeed USA were disqualified for Hedman not driving enough of the race. The win then went to Patrick Kelly and Spencer Pigot of Mathiasen Motorsports. After an incident in the pits that took the Porsche factory cars out of contention, Corvette scored their 101st sports car win as a follow up to their 100th last week.

IndyCar

Over at open wheel racing, Indy racing went to Iowa for Iowa 250. Top honors for that race went to Josef Newgarden in another dominant win. This added to Penske's wins for the day with another in Australian Supercars and NASCAR. Cautions came as a result of Ed Carpenter hitting a wall and Ryan Hunter-Ray crashing out of the pits.
