Keeping Ram fresh is the name of the game for 2020, so FCA has unveiled the Ram 1500 Night Edition to lead the charge.
Ram is now the number 2 pickup brand in North America and is catching up to Ford. To maintain that forward momentum, Ram is gearing up to offer more standard features on the 2020 Ram 1500 pickup.
But to start us off, they're showcasing the brand new Ram 1500 Night Edition. Don't let the name fool you--this truck isn't all doom and gloom. Instead, it comes with a monochromatic design that has black as its accent. That means a set of black wheels, a black grille, black badging, and black-painted exhaust tips. The headlights and taillights also have dark bezels to match the overall dark theme.
Available on the Big Horn and Laramie trims, the Night Edition will arrive with the new pickup later this year.
But as they say, "that's not all!" The Ram Rebel Black Appearance Group will provide what the Night Edition doesn't: a Ram Rebel that's as dark as your soul. Diamond Black Crystal Pearl Coat paint covers the exterior, while 18-inch wheels, the front spoiler, skid plates, badging, tow hooks, and exhaust also get painted black. Dark bezels also continue to follow the black as night color scheme.
The Ram 1500 Rebel will also enjoy some added features in 2020. Adaptive cruise control with stop and go will come standard, as will emergency braking with forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams.
The Comfort Package will also become standard, which includes power tailgate release, wireless charging, rear heated seats, and 12-way power driver’s seat with memory settings.
Let's not forget the 2020 Ram HD pickups. Lane-keeping and adaptive steering will be available on all trims, while blind-spot monitoring will become available for some trims. Auxiliary cameras will also become an added feature for those that can afford it.
Pricing and availability weren’t announced, but we’re sure to get both in the coming weeks.
